I'm really disappointed by Louie's Trophy House lately... and I go there for dinner weekly with a group of friends to play trivia. They changed their menu, and stopped having monthly specials - so we're limited to JUST the new menu. I miss the deep fried pickles and cheesecake the most. It feels like they raised their prices, too, but I don't have the old menu for comparison. It just doesn't seem to be the same quality of food since John (the old manager) left, either. I'm tempted to eat dinner somewhere else before trivia just to save money and have some better food choices.

Usually go to the downtown location they have Old Style on tap. This one doesn't.

We aren't from the area and decided to eat here after learning it has been a staple in Kalamazoo for a very long time. It was Tuesday, so we had the taco special. They were very good! Three tacos is plenty and the guacamole and salsa were very tasty! The price was very reasonable. It was a positive experience and we will return if ever we visit the area again.

Lively, fun atmosphere. It's clever that they have games in which they prizes are gift cards that bring the customers back. I love it! I happened to check them out on trivia night. It was crowded and although wait staff fell a little behind, I didn't wait long for anything. I thought they did really well for the crowd they had. My go to bar food is nachos. Pub nachos are one of my favorite foods on the planet, but not these nachos. They were mediocre at best. They were served promptly and well presented, and that counts for something. I'll definitely go back. Maybe next time I'll try fried foods.

I went there on a Tuesday "Trivia" night and had an extraordinary amount of fun playing. The group I was with won a prize almost every round. They have an excellent menu and the food is fabulous! They also have an incredible number of stuffed animals including a full-sized Musk Ox being attacked by wolves and a standing full-sized Bear that makes a great photo opportunity. If you haven't been there you need to go at least once!!!
Fun and relaxed atmosphere, they did super well serving our large group on short notice, and worked really well around my dairy allergy (super communicative and even went back and checked labels for me). Eating out post diagnosis is a little scary, so I was glad for the help!

Louie’s is in my top two bars in Kalamazoo. Great atmosphere. Fun random events in the back room, great drinks, friendly staff, fun patrons and a great environment overall. Easy location with plenty of parking.
Kid-friendliness: Personally wouldn’t bring my kids.
