Although it says open 24 hours on Google, apparently that is NOT the case. I wheeled in (I am a trucker) and placed my order at close to 11PM on a Saturday night). There was another customer waiting for a carry out order when I arrived left shortly afterwards. By this time I was given my food in a few short minutes, I was apparently the last customer. I normally do not get carry out unless I need to roll on. I was shutting down for the night and preferred to eat at a table. I order my special order with no pickles, no onions and no mustard. The sticker on the sandwich box even said that. Despite this, my order had pickles, onions and mustard on it. I went to the counter, which was unattended and waited a few minutes before an employee in the kitchen came out to see what I needed. Obviously they had to make a new sandwich which delayed my departure. At roughly 11:30 PM, two non managerial employees approached me as I had the last 3 bites of the sandwich in my hand to tell me they are closed and "I need to leave". I was bewildered at being spoken to like I was some sort of vagrant. I then asked if they were told to tell me this by someone else. One of the 2 employees said that they were told to tell me that. I angrily replied for them to tell who gave the order to come out and tell me him or herself. I could tell this put the employees in an awkward situation. They were rather young and I am sure my response might have startled them. They sheepishly walked back to the kitchen and I waited a couple minutes to see if whoever was in the back could address this rude experience. No one came out and I left. I asked the truck stop employee at the Love's counter for a phone number to contact the store management. They provided one for me. I will follow up to complain tomorrow with a phone call. I am used to substandard service day and night. Normally I don't complain. You mess up an order, I want it redone. No problem. But to to tell a paying customer who was given absolutely no indication that they were about to close, when I placed an eat in order, not good! When I was brought the order (to my table) I thanked the employee. When the second employee brought out the correctly made sandwich, I again thanked the employee. Even though I am a paying customer, I am not above thanking employees. I truly appreciate it. It's how I was raised, and it's how I roll. Now, I will admit I reacted angrily to being told that I need to leave. In all my 62 years on this earth, I have never heard a paying customer spoken to like that. I was shocked. Never, ever, under any circumstances, tell any customer what their needs are. If you are about to be closing and it is not obvious, politely tell a customer that, and ask, not tell, the customer if it would be OK if the order is a takeout since it is closing time. Frankly, I wouldn't have thought anything unusual about that. And lastly, if your employees have not been trained this, that's on the manager as a failure. At least as a manager you might take a look at the situation and tell the customer yourself. Not coming out after I insisted the employees tell you to speak to me, and not even addressing it, is bush league. I personally apologize to the employees for my shocked reaction. In hindsight I am not proud for reacting angrily. I feel bad for them having to be put in an awkward situation. A situation the manager wouldn't even address his or herself. I would not want to work for a manager like that.

Absolutely the WORST customer service ever received. The “manager” Joann is the least professional human I’ve ever come in contact with.
Such a bummer...oh for it to be 1985 and this place was still across the street run by people who actually cared about what they were doing. What a crappy place now...never come back and will spread the word as far and wide as I can to stay away from here.

For me, it took me about 20 minutes just to get my food. Fast food restaurants should be able to tell that the primary function of the place is to deliver FAST food.

Served me a raw burger and refused a refund.
I stop at this truck stop regularly, and I do believe being served the burger this way was an honest mistake.
After talking to Jeff, a new manager, he corrected the mistake and made me a new meal. He seemed very concerned and even stated that he is keeping a closer eye on the grill.
His eye contact and professionalism convinced me of his genuine effort.
Thank you, Jeff. I appreciate people like you, and I hope you keep training this standard with all of your employees.
I also appreciate the handshake.
