According to their Facebook page (Sept 2020), Nonla Banh Mi Togo is permanently closed. When they were open, I ate there a few times and loved it. Hopefully they will reopen in the future!

This place is a great go to for banh mi! A few friends and I got a variety of banh mis and we all enjoyed them! The pork belly one was especially great. The pork was juicy and the bread was crispy and the veggies super fresh. Also recommend the shrimp one as it was also very tasty. The chicken and tofu banh mis were on the okay side as far as taste goes but still overall a good experience. Highly recommend the side salad that goes with it as it's super tasty and refreshing! My biggest issue with this place is I have such a hard time finding the menu as some of the menus online are outdated but luckily there's not a ton on the menu so I usually call and ask what the options are.

The wife and I were in Kalamazoo for a comedy show at the State Theatre and wanted something different for dinner. I found Nonla Bahn Mi online (I love Bahn Mi sandwiches) and was so excited to try it. The dining room isn't much, but the food is so good. We both got Pork Belly Bahn Mi's, which were fantastic. I wish the bread had been a touch softer, but the veggies were fresh, the mayo was flavorful, and the pork belly was cooked perfectly. The little side salad was refreshing as well.

Holy moly that was amazing. My husband and I split the pork belly and the fried shrimp and both were outstanding. And that side salad? Delicious and a very generous portion. I will be back a million times.

love it. Something a little different but still familiar to the taste buds.

Glad Nonla has a location in Kzoo now, the pho is great and the service was really good. They were friendly and accomadating.

Food was a solid 4 stars. I'm more familiar with a Grand Rapids banh mi sandwich shoppe which are very good but much cheaper. I think the more expensive ingredients as well as novelty of being in Kalamazoo justify a higher price so I was prepared for a price of about $9.50 a sandwich as somewhat acceptable, but when I went the price was $12.50. When I asked about the discrepancy I was told it used to be $9.50 but since it now included a salad the price had changed ($3.00 !!) with no option for just a sandwich. I don't know about you but I rarely want a salad when I'm looking for the convenience of just a quick on the go lunch. I wish them luck but I won't be back soon.

Terrible experience. Poor service, poor food.

Near downtown Kalamazoo, it's kind of hidden away and doesn't exactly look complete on the inside decoration wise. I didn't mind the look of the inside because I thought it was quirky and showed character. They always have super cool lighting fixtures in their locations and with the tin ceilings of the building, it adds charisma. Theres minimal seating inside, a small sitting area with some chairs and a couch and a side bar area near the wall with high stools. There were quite a few options to choose from food wise. Sandwiches, salads, pho, etc. I am excited to try out more items. My fiancé got the pork belly sandwich and I had gotten the fried shrimp sandwich. They both came with a salad in the to-go boxes with a dressing. The dressing was so good! It was some kind of vinaigrette and it was lemony but also wasnt too acidic, but it wasn't too oily. I really liked it to start the meal. The sandwiches itself were really good and balanced. The bread was like a hoagie or sub type of bread and it was soft yet somewhat crispy but wasnt messy or flakey. Nonla did a great job at balancing the flavors. Some sweetness, some spiciness with the jalapenos, richness with my meat being fried or my fiance's being pork belly. Although I took a bite of his and the meat seemed quite sweet which he really enjoyed but I was expecting fatty and rich so it was a little unexpected but not offputting - but would I order it in the future knowing the meat has an interesting sweetness? Probably not. But the fried shrimp did not get soggy from any of the sauces and had a great texture with the sandwich. There was a small fridge and my fiance got a can of Coke and I got a Lychee berry juice and it was really nice! Finally. To anyone who would like to try this out I would recommend it. I think it's a great addition to the Nonla family and has the same quality in flavors and thought!

Decided to come here for dinner. A small trendy place with interesting seating. I had the pot belly sandwich and my wife had the chicken sandwich. We wanted to get an appetizer, but they did not have any on the menu, so we just stuck with what we ordered. Even though we dined in, our stuff still came in to go boxes, strange...but whatever. The meal was good, but seems like this is more of a lunch place than a dinner vibe. Food was good, but I was still hungry after finishing my meal and eating a portion of my wife's. If you're coming here with an appetite, you may need to order 2 meals because I could've easily had another sandwich.

I stopped by here and ordered the Chicken Curry noodle bowl. I don't eat vietnamese much so I don't know if it is the restaurant or the culture of food but the rice bowl was just not for me. The staff was friendly and this is a new business that is local so I do not want to leave a 1 star. Maybe other people will find other items on the menu that are tastey but I just did not enjoy the rice bowl. I am dedicating one star because I thought it was kind of pricey for the food (totaled 19.00 for just a noodle bowl and a coffee) and another star because I just simply did not enjoy the food.
