About two weeks ago I stopped in to Burdicks for dinner as i was in town on business.I had never been before and was not expecting much from a hotel restaurant.I was happily proven wrong.The atmosphere was great, it was fairly busy and a very jovial crowd was watching sporting events on the many televisions in the bar area where I was seated.I ordered the Herb crusted Salmon and it did NOT disappoint! And the asparagus accompanying it tasted as if it was picked fresh that day.As I was finishing up my meal and waiting for my bill the manager, Terry (I believe), came over to ask how my experience was.I told him I was very happy and surprised by how excellent the meal and atmosphere were. He thanked me profusely and welcomed me back next time I'm in the area. He was a very jolly fella and seemed very happy to be entertaining and catering to his patrons.All around a great experience and I look forward to my next visit to Burdicks.

Pretty disappointed in this restaurant for a number of reasons. We went to Old Burdicks on St. Patrick's Day but let me be clear it was not busy! Lots of empty tables. They messed up my order. By the time my fixed order got to the table everyone else was done eating. They all ordered dessert since I still needed to eat. My husband's bread pudding was burned on the bottom. Our waitress rarely checked in on us. If she had we could have noted the burned dessert or asked about the delay in my dinner. We received the bill and noticed we were charged twice for my entree. The waitress did remove one of the charges but never an apology for any of these mistakes. The cherry on top was that a 20% gratuity was automatically added on for a party of 4. The waitress did not earn a 20% gratuity. Given a choice, with all the issues I would have left 15% but definitely not 20. Old Burdicks should be embarrassed to be adding on gratuities at a basic bar restaurant. You're no 5 star dining experience! We will never go back again!

Parking: You can park in parking garage and then get it validated with restaurant when you eat there so parking is free

Burdicks has gone downhill. The nachos are more like a salad with some chips. The fish and chips is more like “fish stick and chips.” Our waitress was terrible. We think she may have been high. We made a reservation and were still given one of the worst tables in the restaurant.

I would give zero stars if I could. I was charged for multiple bills that were not mine because the waitress made an error with the card machine. It’s has been months since Larry the manager promised my refund. Yet no money has been refunded. Don’t give this place your money. So many better options.

Rude, disrespectful male general manager on staff on Sunday evening, 2/11/2024. I am a graduate student at a local college, and I make extra money from door dashing. I went in this past Sunday night to pick up an order for one of your customers. I went to the front desk, showed them my door dasher app, with the customer name, and said I am here to pick up an order for Vaughn. The staff informed me that the order had already been picked up by a gentleman, who had a "paper receipt" with the order on it. I informed them that door dashers do not use paper receipts, they only use the app on their phone. So obviously, someone who knows how your restaurant works, knows where you hang paper slips for the orders. I asked the front desk staff, what they wanted to do. Did they want to remake the order, or should I just unassign the order. The girl said no don't unassign the order, let me talk to my manager. Attempting to follow my door dash protocol, I either need to unassign the order if it not going to be remade, or get an ETA from the restaurant so I can advise the customer of any delays. By this time I had waited about 20 minutes when a general manager came out and barked at me, "Are you the one waiting for an order that has already been picked up?" I replied yes. He said, "I don't have time for this" and walked away. I spent 15 minutes driving over to Old Burdick's Bar and Grill, from Portage, had to find a parking spot in the neighborhood, then waited for 20 minutes for an order, just to have the general manager, devalue me as a human being, then walk away.Your location obviously has theft happening, which I hope you are able to resolve, so that you do not continue to take your frustration out on the college students doing door dash trying to service your restaurant and customers. Likewise, if this location cannot handle doing door dash in addition to the regular volume of the restaurant, then please stop offering door dash services. Don't treat the drivers who are servicing you like dirt. The way that I was talked down to last night was inhumane.Parking: Very poor on the weekend evenings.

Four of us had lunch. Food was great. Service was very good. Nice atmosphere. Good parking in the ramp.We had burgers, chicken sandwich and a burrito bowl. Everybody said their food was very good.Parking: Pay attention to where you park and how to get to the hotel.
