I've been wanting to try this place for a while since it's so close to my house, every time I've gone they're closed...? Like today for example: it's 6pm on a Friday, I drove up as the last car in the parking lot left and I saw they are closed again. Everywhere I look online (and on the door) says they are open until at least 7:30pm, I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong! Very odd and disappointing.

We love this place! The shumai is our favorite appetizer and the tonkatsu ramen is our favorite meal! Easily the most underrated restaurant in Kalamazoo.

I cannot express enough how great a place this is.The food is delicious and well made, obvious effort and care has been put into the dishes, and the menu is small- But that's because every dish on there is well thought out. You will not be disappointed by this place, no matter what you get. The sushi is literally the best in the entire city, and I've been everywhere, and it's the only place to get real, good ramen.

Today was my first time ordering from Ramen & Rice and they didn't disappoint! This was not only fast (even through GrubHub) but full of favor and delicious. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and tempura roll for lunch. This is going to be my 1st go to place for Ramen and sushi!

Amazing food at a great price and it's speedy fast.

The food is atrocious. The cook wasn't wearing a mask but demanded I wear one. The chicken tasted like it had been bleached. This isn't a different "style" of ramen like another reviewer commented. It's just bad.

A very kind man doing a fantastic job with Japanese cuisine. I purchased the Tonkotsu ramen with chicken and a WMU roll. The ramen is aromatic with fresh vegetables, ramen, fish cake, a whole boiled egg, and chicken chunks in a very delicious broth. Hands down that this is the best I've tasted anywhere in the area.As for the WMU roll, the rice is lightly fried giving the sushi a gentle crunch with all the flavors blending beautifully into a graceful ballet of smooth, creamy goodness. Again, a new favorite to me in the area.He has only been open a year and is doing his absolute best to keep customers coming in. His food has made me one happy customer.Note: If the door is locked, give him a call first. Usually the restaurant's Facebook page notifies of closures and sometimes he forgets to unlock the door to the dining room.

I ordered take-out tonight because I wanted to try something I've never had before. Ramen & Rice comes up on GrubHub often so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki bowl and I have to tell you: it's so delicious! The chicken and onions taste like they came right off the grill. It has a really nice, grilled, smoky flavor. The rice is sticky and the cabbage is crunchy. It's not overly sauced. This is so, so good.

What a special gem. We stumbled upon this by accident & quickly became regulars. We can't get enough of the Chicken Teriyaki Plate. It is phenomenal!! Hands down best terri plate I've ever had. Even the kids fell in love. The owner is kind and quite creative. Hope you enjoy as much as we do!

Extremely disappointing. The ramen broth itself was alright, but everything was over cooked, the egg was hard boiled until green, and the noodles were not what you would expect; they were closer to spaghetti.

All I can say is YUMMMM! Kalamazoo, please support this small restaurant, they are really tasty and worth the price. I had the popular teriyaki rice bowl with chicken and the japanese dumplings (gyoza) and they were perfect. GrubHub delivered and they were also very fast. Thank you Ramen & Rice!
