I'm probably leaving my lowest score ever but I think it is justified for 2 main points...
Food: $30 for 3 lamb tacos, 1 empanada, and an orange soda. The empanada had the most flavor, but mid at best. The lamb tacos had to be the most bland food I've ever had. Completely over priced, and overrated. This is where boring people with sensitive stomachs and palettes go to eat.
Restrooms: It is a small place, with no indication of where the bathrooms are. Naturally assumed in the back of the place. You go back there and the only indication of bathrooms is a icon of a high tank toliet. Walk in and the lights are off. For the price point of the sub par food, you would think they could afford a motion sensor light switch.

Cool vibe, love the design of the place, great service, and there is outdoor seating to enjoy mild Michigan weather. It is an upscale latin America restaurant. Website said everything is locally source which guarantees they have the freshes ingredients.
Anyway food review. The roasted chicken is good with the green sauce, the potatoes side has a crunchy exterior and soft and warm interior. I think regular Peruvian roasted chicken is better and cheaper. Tuna ceviche is very good. Red onion can be kinda spicy and the strawberry sobert in the middle can help you out. Ceviche has a good balance of acidity and fresh tuna. I just wish the protein is more.

Roca was a very enjoyable dining experience in Kalamazoo. We had a large party of 10 people and our waitress did a wonderful job at accommodating everyone's questions and requests. She was very knowledgeable and super efficient. I ordered the Grilled octopus and the Empanadas and they were both delicious. That was my first time trying octopus and I loved how tender and flavorful it was.
Oh, I almost forgot about the grand finale. For dessert, I had the chocolate bread pudding. It was out of this world. I like that the edges of the breading were slightly crispy and it also came with a side of the same Italian cream that they use to stuff canollis with. Super tasty!
First time here. It was good, just overpriced in my opinion and no need to go back. Food pictured were the Lamb
