Great food and excellent wait staff.
I’ve been here multiple times and wanted to take my mom here for a special occasion. I’m rating the menu based on my husband who is an executive chef. We were very disappointed with the server Courtney with the nose ring. We were nothing but kind to her and her attitude was rude the whole entire night. We came in with a positive family get together attitude and she ruined the atmosphere of our dinner. She was only nice when she gave us the check.
The olive oil that was served with the bread was terrible. It tasted cheap like it was bulk from Costco. Some of the mussels we ordered were spoiled, they tasted like horse manure. The scallops were amazing. The main courses were very disappointing. Honestly Roca has a way better duck breast on their menu which is what I ordered and it’s right across the street. The loaf with white sauce was spoiled and clashed with the duck and cherries. The rigatoni was watery. The mushroom forroto had too strong of what tasted like a red wine sauce. The taste was strong and off, very soupy. The only good thing about my dinner here was the wine selection and the bottle of Cabernet that we got. You would think they would have a white sauce pasta on their menu.
Loved the scallops and spinach risotto.
Charming European restaurant. Food was great and service was good, the wagyu flank steak was really good as were the apps and dessert. Great place to eat if you’re in K Zoo.
Absolutely LOVE this place! Always amazing food and cocktails! My go to restaurant when I’m in Kzoo.
We love local and don't eat out as much past few years. Rustica is a favorite with nice smaller menu but great dishes and options. It is cozy, amazing food, great wine selection too. Great service and professional staff.
Quite a cute little bistro serving a range of American and European fare. Tasty food and a good place to unwind over dinner.
My wife discover this place online and wanted to try it. The facility is narrow and deep with the kitchen visible through a glass wall and a bar at the far end near the clean up area.
Lighting was low and the mood was set for an intimate setting. No music to distract from conversation. The tables had a linen cloth covered with brown craft paper.
The different food items were brought to the table at an odd pace but gave time to discuss the experience.
Started with a charcuterie board that provided a nice spread of cheese breads. The grilled romaine salad was topped with Caesar dressing. The main entrees were Wagyu steak and broccoli and roasted duck breast with parsnips.
One item was turned away because of our personal choice but you should experiment and try new things.
The food was ok, a bit bland for my taste, lacking in spices and flavor. Definitely on the pricier side and not justified in my opinion. Not bad but nothing to write home about.
The best food in Kalamazoo! I can't recommend this place enough. The Icelandic cod and the steak are incredible, just as everything is that we order here. The service is also great! It's worth the splurge. Be sure to make a reservation since it’s not a large restaurant.

What a fabulous find during our short visit in Kalamazoo! Great food (I had cod, partner had duck) beautifully presented and with excellent flavors. We had plum cake for dessert. Service was very good and the restaurant has a nice vibe.

I’ve tried to eat here 3 different times with my son and have been turned away each time. Today my son and I tried to get a table. We walked up and there was a couple in front of us and the host was outside and took them in right away. He was very polite to them and seated them immediately. He saw my son and I standing there and tried to avoid us by not coming outside again. So we went inside to try to get a table. When we approached him he was extremely rude and told us there were no tables. There were empty tables all over the restaurant. He was extremely rude and said we could not have one of those tables. They are clearly discriminating against us at this point. I would not recommend this place to anybody. It is not ok to treat people this way.
Kid-friendliness: They are probably turning us away because my son is a child. This place is not kid-friendly…. Or friendly at all for that matter.

The Stake is like chewing beef jerky. Tried 2 times. Would not feed it to my dog. Other food is good.
