it was my first time going there I placed a phone order for a vegetarian dish that was sweet and savory, and I had cheese masala with rice and in a a in bread and vegetable samosas… The masala was too sweet and the cheese did not complement the dish the NAAN bread was burnt.… The vegetable Samosa was OK and taste. It had a spicy sauce that was good. The other sauce was nasty and it smelled nasty… The only thing that tasted good was the rice. I will not be visiting this restaurant again very disappointed I’ve had other Indian food and it was cheaper and tasted way better and they had rice included in their dish. This place has the rice as a separate item to purchase.

The place was clean. The food was delicious. I went with my wife and baby. There was a high chair and the staff were very friendly to us.

We stopped at Saffron while traveling thru Michigan. They had a buffet that was fantastic!! The food was well seasoned, each dish was delicious and made with care. I highly recommend this diamond of a restaurant in Kalamazoo.

I've lived around the corner from Saffron for 4 years now, I always go to Cumin for Indian cuisine, decided to patronize in the neighborhood, I'm a FOODIE and should have known why I was never interested in having dinner at Saffron, I had the chicken Tikka masala, very soupy and no big chunks of tandoor chicken like Cumins, small canned chicken like pieces with NO flavor, no creaminess, no thickness and the garlic naan was tough and not tender, out of 7 days I eat chicken Tikka masala from Cumin at least 3/4 days..... Should've listened to the other reviews posted, not apitizing AT ALL, 23.00 WASTED.. leftovers and all!! Tbh I've never seen actual indians dine at Saffron so I should have known, asked for a refund with food and receipt and was told I could only get another Tikka masala, no thanks, I'll go out of my way 15 minutes before I go a street behind me to saffron for Indian cuisine 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽

We tried the Papdi Chaat and Veg Platter to start, but unfortunately, both were overly oily and didn’t quite hit the mark. However, the main course made up for it — the curries were surprisingly flavorful. I’d especially recommend the Lamb Saag — it was absolutely top-notch! ❤️
Service is very good

Everything was great about this place. We drove from Grand Rapids for a last-minute birthday dinner. We arrived about twenty minutes before closing, and this still took us, which was so cool since we were truly excited to eat here.
Amazing food, beautiful presentation. If I hadn't been so hungry I would have gotten photos but we devoured their vegetarian sampler like no other. We ended up barely touching our food because we were completely satisfied with just the pita bread and sampler. Plus, I truly did feel bad that we showed up late. Anyway, this place is an experience. Please check them out if you love authentic REAL food.

I’ve been going to Saffron for years and have always loved the food, the atmosphere, and the friendly service. That’s why it’s really disappointing to write this. My last visit was so off-putting that I’ve decided I won’t be going back.

From the moment we sat down, we felt like an afterthought. Our server never introduced herself she just asked what we wanted to order and then completely disappeared. Even though the place wasn’t busy, she checked in on her other tables multiple times and ignored ours entirely. At one point, we even saw the manager making the rounds, checking on other tables to ask how things were but they skipped ours completely. We ended up getting our check from a different waiter.

And when we were leaving, the owner gave us a quick “thank you” without even turning around. It honestly felt like they couldn’t have cared less that we were there.

I’ve supported Saffron through ups and downs, but this last visit really left a bad taste.

The lunch buffet is a real treat, but the regular dinner menu is also superb. Friendly service in a clean, inviting environment. Easy to find in the Tiffany’s plaza on West Main Street.

One of my favorite restaurants. Dishes that can be made vegan are clearly labeled and everything is delicious! It is a bit of a fancy atmosphere.

Wednesday thru Friday the lunch buffet will rock your world! The rice pudding is so good! I love that the buffet line has its staples but some items change daily. I would travel 60 miles for this, it's that good!

They clearly label vegan on the menu, food was good. Got the channa saag and tandoori roti. I expected the entree to come with rice, but it didn’t fyi. Was a little more expensive, and they have nothing to reduce the sound when it’s crowded, so I had to wear earplugs since I can’t do loud noises for long
