Best Middle Eastern food in Kalamazoo. I have been going here for over 20 years, and the quality of the food has always been amazing. The staff is friendly. The owner has been involved in the community for years. I'm a basic kind of guy, but the shawarma is delicious, and their hummus is creamy and the best I have ever had.

Shwarma King is one of my favorite places to eat in Kalamazoo and stands as a real diamond in the rough. The portions are large, the food is filling and healthy, and the staff are some of the kindest people I've ever seen work in food service.
My go-to order is typically a chicken schwarma wrap with feta, as I enjoy the combo of feta and pickles. The fries come unsalted which is generally far better than too much salt (as you can always just add salt).
I would strongly recommend Schwarma King for anyone in kzoo looking to grab lunch. The inside may not be anything to write home about, but it's clean and cozy with a surprisingly solid bathroom. It makes me sad I'm moving out of Kalamazoo and this will no longer be a quick local stop for me.
Went here with my girlfriend and we couldn’t get enough! Every minute spent looking at the menu we ordered more and more! Ended up with two appetizers and two entrees and our server was more than happy to be patient with us as we decided. The service was very helpful and felt like they actually cared! The food was so flavorful and this place was definitely added to my favorites!

Owners are great! Really care about their customers! Very responsive to customer requests. Their Shish Twook sandwich is enough for two of us. Huge small fattosh...salad is also plenty for us with more summac, we love the lemonade without mint and prefer less sugar. This is our favorite go to restaurant. Try the King tea, you will become a quick fan. But this location only NIDAL's we did not have the same experience at the other store.

Great service and quality, the lentil soup is to die for! I would also recommend the sandwich combo-with either the falafel or the RBD sandwich. Nidal is always a sweetheart and this is by far the best shawarma location in kalamazoo hands down!
