TERRIBLE!! They have roaches , I seen the cooks not using gloves while touching the food . Service is terrible, very rude. I do not recommend this place. Very unprofessional and should be looked into.

I spent $50. on dinner. Chicken wasn't tender, but tough and chewy. Food was mediocre. The staff was unsociable. I only liked the egg rolls, and spring rolls. I won't be back.

We love coming to South china. Honestly, it's one of the only places that doesn't make my stomach upset after eating it. When we come in, we are always made to be welcome and almost as if we were family.I get the Generals Chicken, and as someone who doesn't like spicy all that much, it's the perfect amount. You can even get extra spicy (like my fiance). A spring roll, which is delightful. We've had the Lo Mein and the fried rice. Which again exceeds our expectations every visit with how much care is put into our dishes.Finally, I RECOMMEND the almond cookies. We always get a pack when we are there. They are always fresh and have a great amount of flavor. We almost buy a second so we don't run out!So, if you're in the mood for Chinese and looking for great food, this is sure to be one of your favorite take out places!

I have eaten at South China at least once per week since I moved to Kalanazoo in 1999. The food is always prepared well. The service has always been top notch. The ambiance is especially good for a small family owned resturant.

I can’t believe the chicken wings I got! They were terrible they were so small. It will not let me show them. The worst thing I have ever bought. No way you can call it chicken. The meat that was on these tiny pieces you couldn’t even eat it was so hard. 0 rating what a waste of money

Last night I spent 50 dollars here it was pure garbage the Crab ragoons were hard and old tasting , the egg rolls were dry and my chicken and shrimp fried rices just tasted like they were microwave I tried to call and talk to them they hung up on me.
It's OK. Ordered a spring roll and hot & sour soup. I did not expect the spring roll to be deep fried and so small -- about 3" long. To me a spring roll is a cold piece of white rice dough wrapped around fresh uncooked vegetables seasoned with vineager and other spices -- sort of like a rolled up salad. My hot and sour soup was hot in terms of temperature but not at all hot in terms of spiciness. Service and cleanliness were fine.

I’m never going there again there again , there very rude there. The last time I went there I paid a lot of money and she accused me of not paying for my food when I did pay I paid with my credit card I got proof . When my family went today she was yelling at my mom saying she didn’t pay for her food there was people to but this waitress / head person didn’t care . Well she lost clients and is gonna gain a lawsuit for slander and poor lady I have a copy of my bank statement. I have never in my life walked out of a restaurant without paying. I had no choice but to rate this a 1 , if they had a zero that’s what I would have rated it.

Worst experience I ever had. Am never going into that place again. Waitress was very rude and accused of walking out without paying a meal before. She was yelling at us in front of other customers. I'll never step one foot into that place!!! NEVER will they get my service again.
