Both of the servers who waited on me yesterday were awesome. They were surprisingly knowledgeable about their product and extremely helpful. Special note: I learned a valuable lesson. I had been going to the Plainwell location, which was Is actually a franchise location Thinking that I was getting the same quality donuts as the Kalamazoo location. There is a notable flavor difference between the two with the Kalamazoo location (The one I am reviewing here) being Noticeably superior

I have always loved sweetwater donuts but, that last few times we have gotten donuts from there, the filling is in only about a quarter of the donut or less. You get filling in a couple bites. Very disappointing.

Stopped by the drive thru window on a whim. BEST DONUT I HAVE EVER HAD!! A thick yeast roll that had just the right amount of sugary glaze.

I left Kalamazoo 18 years ago and just came back about a month ago. The donuts taste like they're missing an ingredient now, and I believe that ingredient is love. They're just not as good as they used to be.
I tried Sweetwater for the 1st time a couple weeks ago and it was delicious! The young lady, Alaya, who served us went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience! We will come back! 10/10

As ex-locals who've been away from Kalamazoo for a while, revisiting Sweetwater's Donut Mill was like unearthing a cherished, delicious memory – and it was even better than we remembered!
The moment you walk in, the familiar, comforting aroma of freshly baked donuts instantly transports you back. The sheer variety is still astounding; from classic glazed and old-fashioned to their more unique and decadent creations, there's something to tempt every palate.
For anyone who grew up in or lived in Kalamazoo, Sweetwater's is more than just a donut shop – it's a nostalgic landmark. Coming back and finding it just as fantastic as we left it was incredibly heartwarming. The staff were just as friendly and efficient as we remembered, too!
If you're an ex-local like us, or even if you're just passing through Kalamazoo, do yourself a HUGE favor and stop by Sweetwater's Donut Mill. We'll be making sure it's not a forgotten favorite ever again!
