Food was awesome. Service was horrible. Ended up being there for 1.5 hours. Girl taking orders appeared to be new. Screwed the order up, didn't give us cornbread with the two entrees. Only brought out one order and the other took additional 30 minutes. Then told the group of five after us that they were all out of cornbread. Service was so bad, i would never consider returning. What a shame, cause the food was so good.

Came here because of the reviews. Walking in it was freezing. Service was poor. Menu said kids meals come with a juice box but was informed it does not and they dont sell juice boxes. Menu also says entree come with corn bread it also does not. When you ask about this they act like they dont know what your talking about and are unwilling to give you the items you pay for. Wait times are excessive and prices are high for quality and quantity. Will not be back.

The chicken and fish are fried to perfection!! The dressing is great! It’s mouth drying like any bread though and could use traditional gravy and cranberry sauce on the side for the dressing! . The yams were GOOPY and slimy instead of juicy& thick . It was concerning. The Mac & cheese disappointed me completely as it tasted like slices of Kraft sandwich cheese were put in it. I didn’t taste any sharp cheddar nor mild. Please be careful of making your sweets goopy or slimy. That doesn’t look appetizing for people who didn’t ask for okra type of juice in their food. Other than that everything else is completely awesome!!

There's a sandwich nicknamed after my man here. The Chi-town Trav it's a fried catfish sandwich dipped in hot honey. 10/10 you can order sandwiches or combos here. Great setup clean organized inside seating available as well. Parking in the rear of the building. The owner dope guy! If you're ever in town stop by. One of our favorite black owned restaurants here. Gotta try his daughter restaurant next time I'm in town.

I slept on Ty's. Don't be like me! Every part of my meal was delicious. The fish was tender and moist, the cornbread was to die for, and the sides were substantial and tasty. I can't wait to try more of the menu 😍

I haven’t had really good Southern food in such a long time — but oh my goodness, this place was amazing! The food was absolutely mouthwatering and pure comfort for the soul. From the warm atmosphere to the great service (and generous portions!), everything was perfect. I highly recommend checking this place out and showing them some love!

Ordered online, went at 12:00pm, paid and then he offered to take food to a table, communicating, having a chat, then took a bite out of my cheese burger, MOUTH WATERING🫠🤤, best employees!!!

Originally I was going to order over the phone to reduce wait time but my gf suggested I go in to see if certain items were available. I have to order through doordash and it is accurate to show which items are truly not available. I wanted green beans, yams and collard greens. Doordash said they were out of yams but when I got there, yams were available and green beans weren't. They fired the fish fresh so there was a bit of a wait. That catfish is worth the wait. The greens were tasty but a tad bit salty. The fried okra was delicious and the yams were perfect. The corn bread(cake) was just how I like it. I'll be back again and I hope the green beans are available.
Amazing place soul food here is the place to get it. Their packaging is amazing and you can smell the food from the street the staff and quick and easy to talk to.
