I ordered two meals for me and my cousins pre thanksgiving meal, and when I came to pick it up they were running just a little behind (no problem on my end) but he was very apologetic, adding a few goodies to sweeten the deal. But honestly the food would have been enough, it was so so so good. I literally dreamed two nights in a row about the pork chops. And my cousin almost cried at the candied yams. So yeah, def recommend and please support this small biz!!

This corner joint is next to a semi busy intersection and is quite easily missed. However, it shouldn't be. The interior is put together haphazardly, but with good intentions in their placement. The service is average, and the prices are between 10-20 a person. The combos add an extra 4 dollars for a side and a 12oz can of soda. I got the catfish sandwich with a side of onion rings and a coke. THIS is where the place shines, in its food. The bun was toasted, always a good sign. The catfish was breaded lightly and cooked to perfection. It was moist, tasty, and seasoned just enough to compliment the fish but not overwhelm it. The onion rings were crispy, perfectly battered, and tasted great. None of it tasted greasy, and it's clear that they use clean oil every day and fresh ingredients. The food was great, and I would order takeout from this place anytime. It's simply too far out of the way, with too disfunct of an atmosphere to eat in. Overall a 3/5, good food, slightly odd place. Decent prices, try the catfish.

Drove from grand rapids for work and decided to try it out and they didn't disappoint. Workers were great and nice and the food was just as great. I got the catfish, dressing w. chicken, collard greens w. turkey and wings. I would definitely stop by again when I'm in town.
