I pass by Kalamazoo on the drive from Chicago to Detroit, and this place is such a delightful find for lunch! They have easy, free parking, which is always nice. The ambiance is lovely! Beautiful decoration, with nice, low-volume Middle Eastern music playing in the background to set the mood. The staff was very friendly. Everything looked delicious, but we decided to go with Baba Ghanouj and two entrees: the Spiced Beef and Fig and the Lebanese Lamb over Hummus. The portions are big, which is perfect for sharing. Baba Ghanouj was excellent! It has a smoky flavor, is creamy, and has some crushed walnuts as toppings, which boosts the texture. Perfect to enjoy with their flatbread. The Spiced Beef and Fig was exquisite. It was very fragrant and flavorful, and the meat was succulent. The figs added such a nice pop of sweetness and contrasting texture to the dish. It was just beautiful. The Lebanese lamb was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the hummus was very creamy. Again, it gave a nice balance of texture. A bit of acidity may elevate the dish even further. For dessert, we ordered the date cake. It was served warm and very moist. It was such a delicious lunch, and I would highly recommend it!

This was one of our favorite places to go for dinner on special occasions and otherwise. However, our last experience was really bad at this place. The drink was too strong, and the falafels were under cooked.

We really wanted to like this restaurant, but the food didn't deliver. The service was nice as was the staff, but we can't say the same for the food. Our food was on the salty side, especially the Chily Fry. The potatoes in the chili fry were dry and starchy, and the spiciness was more on the vinegar side than spicy side.The lamb dish had small pieces of lamb and not plentiful. The quality of the food didn't match the price of it.

The food, drink, and ambience were fantastic. We ordered the mango lassi, lemonana, Chicken Fesenjoon and Lebanese Lamb Medley. My favorite place to eat in Kalamazoo hands down. I cannot believe I haven't been here sooner!

Zooroona always has delicious, filling meals. Sometimes I just have the hummus with chicken Shawermah, other times I fill up on dishes like falafel or chicken Fesenjoon.
This was our first time. My husband and I both ordered the mixed grill. Which is supposed to be Beef Kafta, Chicken Kafta, and Shrimp. The waitress said they were out of beef kafta so I said I'd take the Shish tawook, and my husband substituted beef shwarma. What my husband actually recieved was beef shwarma, chicken kafta, no shrimp. I, for some reason, recieved tawook and beef shwarma. We told the waitress we're missing shrimp, they corrected it and gave us a ton of shrimp.The shrimp was the best part. Some sort of harissa garlic sauce that we couldn't get enough of. We also had the lentil soup and that had good, and I had a zero alcohol strawberry mojito.It was all good except the tahini sauce, it was terrible.The service is slow, but it's like that everywhere. Since COVID it's been a struggle for these restaurants. We could see these waitresses trying their best.

This is by far one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants I've been to!!! The quality and taste of the food is outstanding.The Zooroona salad was a delightful unique find, the baba ganoush was better than ours with smokey touch, the garlic sauce was beyond anything I've ever had before. It is like nothing I've ever had before, beyond delicious. If you've had garlic sauce before and didn't like it, try it here, you will love it. I had the chicken shawarma and my husband had the lamb, both were amazing. (The only thing I personally didn't care for was the brussel sprouts because they had black char marks, and I don't eat food with char marks, but that's just me.) I absolutely loved the food here and cannot wait to go back.So that my newly discovered FAVORITE restaurant won't be too crowded, I don't recommend anyone else dine here, so that I can always get a table. Just kidding.Zooroona is truly one of the best restaurants and in a class of it's own.Vegetarian options: There's plenty of options for vegetarians, but this isn't a "Vegetarian Restaurant".Dietary restrictions: I'm gluten-free, dairy-free, and they were very helpful. We had takeout for dinner this evening, it is now top of our favorite lists. My husband got the chicken shawarma, I ate his veggies which were incredible. Along with that I got lentil soup & the Veggie rice. Both were vegan which is hard to find in the area. Some of the best food we've had in a while. Absolutely recommend

We stopped in for an early old folks Wednesday dinner. We have been here on numerous occasions over the years. We ordered a bottle of malbec and the Persian Batata (spicy potatoes). Both were excellent! For entrees, we ordered the Beef Shoulder with Balsamic and the Lebanese Lamb Medley over Hummus. They were so good!! We ordered after dinner drinks (dessert ?). We got thechocolate martini (nice coffee flavor) and the maple cinnamon old fashioned. They both were great! The food, the service, and the atmosphere was outstanding!! Highly recommend!!!
