If you’re looking for a nice small town restaurant this is worth the stop. My aunt has been taking my family here for years each summer and now we are taking my kids as well. Every time I go in I get my eggs salad and curly fries and I never stray away. They have fish fried night and spaghetti nights too not sure what days those are but my aunt talks about them a lot. She loves both those night. The services is always friendly. Their pies are delicious and homemade by the owner....
I am from the Chicagoland area. My grandfather had a house built in Kaleva more than 40 years ago. I've been coming up north for a very long time. I love it mostly because it's something in my life that has stayed consistent. Not much has changed. If anything at all. I can say that about Lenz's too. Food is always good and consistent as well as the service. I love that it's super small, unassuming & looks like someone's living room inside.
I go to Lenz's with my family for a traditional breakfast. It's nothing fancy but you will get a breakfast with bacon, sausage, ham, eggs toast and jelly, hash browns, pancakes all done right. The restaurant is often busy because they do breakfast so well. They also have some classic American dishes for lunch too.
If you're looking for good food that is not over priced with a family atmosphere you will love Lenz's.
