Walked in 15 minutes after closing and instead of turning me away and saying they were closed they said no let’s get you some food as long as we can do it to go. We’ll get you all taken care of and that’s what we did. The staff is amazing. They were ready to leave and finish cleaning instead of doing that they helped me and my family out getting some food because the kids had their heart set on it.
My family stopped in for an early dinner this last Saturday. We ordered the smoked chicken and burnt ends with onion rings and slaw. The chicken was tender and the skin was not tough. The brisket burnt ends came stacked on a slice of Texas toast, and had a crusty bark and the bite I look for in burnt ends. Onion rings were hand-dipped and solid-and kept together. My wife really enjoyed the blueberry vodka lemonade, too. The server was good and we would go back.
Never. Ever do I review. But this one is necessary. Closest to Texas bbq in Michigan. Brisket - fell apart. Pulled pork? Perfect. Andouille sausage would have made New Orleans proud.
