We just stumbled on Broad Leaf Brewery between soccer games and we were pleasantly surprised. Drinks were reasonable and we stopped back to eat with some friends. Menu is a little limited but tasted good. You order at the bar and it was easy and the staff was friendly. Atmosphere is laid back and they have some arcade games, pinball machines, and games you can play at your table. You can also do indoor pickle ball and kickpin.

Excellent! Everything we ordered exceeded expectations. Unique menu, fresh and fun. The curry rice balls are top notch, so much flavor going on. Highly recommend

Although the venue is fun and the beer is good, waiting an hour to receive luke-warm food is very disappointing,

Food, atmosphere, and staff are elite. Would recommend broadleaf to anybody. 10/10.

I used to love Broadleaf and still enjoy their brews and food but the atmosphere lately is akin to Chuck E Cheese. Glad parents have a place they feel comfortable both drinking and bringing their children to run around, but if you’re expecting a different kind of vibe at a brewery, maybe try somewhere else.

Had Sour Lake: Andean Bliss! Sour beer. It was amazing! Food had Curry Fried Rice Balls in sweet chili sauce. Had tad of kick, but not too much. Loved it! Also had Pork Belly Fried Rice Bowl. Very yummy! Just perfect. This place is nice little gem.

Curry Fried Rice Balls were great! Chromatic Shatter & Sour Lake Andean Bliss were my favorite beers that I tried. My husband was impressed with the Super Vortex. Friendly staff, large space, sporty arcade. Wish we had bigger stomachs to dive into the menu more. Rice bowls sounded delish! Cocktails and wine offerings if that suits you.

I couldn’t have had a better experience. The guy helping us I believe said his name was Dove. Dopest guy I’ve ever met! 100% coming back and happy with the experience we had!
The beer choices are fun and the dill garlic french fries are amazing and super flavorful!

Out of the busy hubbub of downtown Grand Rapids lies a brewery nestled amongst a sea of car dealerships and second-hand stores. That brewery is Broad Leaf. Sister location to its more famous bigger sibling, Brewery Vivant, holds a gem of a restaurant. If you are a beer fan, you have probably seen the colorful cans of Broadleaf at your local supermarket. Specializing in unique and more adventurous flavors, Broadleaf is worth driving down and ordering off the tap. They have a constantly rotating selection of beers that keep continual visits interesting and fun.
Now, for the food. Similar to their drinks, Broadleaf enjoys rotating out their food menu. I do not think they have any staples and instead favor keeping things new every month. Not tied down to any style, you can find Asian, Latin, and American cuisine (or whatever they feel like trying out) all intermingling on the menu. Because of this, for vegan food, it can be hit or miss. There is never a time that I have visited Broadleaf that I did not have an option on the menu, and I am very grateful for that. That being said, the choices are often made for me when there is only one vegan option. Thankfully, there are a wider scope of vegetarian options (and often have the ability to be made vegan through customization).
The atmosphere itself is reminiscent of a hipster millennial's idea of a beer hall. There are big, long bench tables to sit at and many arcade games to try out while you await your beer.
Recently, Broadleaf has been successful in catering to more family audiences with strong pushes from their social media ad campaign. For many, this is a big plus. And I respect that. However, for me, it is unfortunately a deterrent. The past three times I have visited Broadleaf, I ended up leaving as soon as I entered after seeing every seat taken, many with children under the drinking age. I am happy Broadleaf is finding its market; however, it does feel like the adult crowd is not as catered towards as it once was.
All that being said, I am a fan of Broadleaf and have always enjoyed my stay when I can find a seat.

Excellent beer and a very interesting brewery.

Cool place to hang with lots of board and arcade games, a giant pickleball court and great food and drink.

Nice selection of styles and had a great Korean Beef sandwich!
