The staff was great, the brisket not so much. It was incredibly dry, and difficult to chew - updated a few weeks later, I gave them another shot, and the brisket was a bit better! Their pork burnt ends were incredible, highly recommend.

We ordered food 'to go' and had it delivered by Uber. I have eaten at this restaurant several times. This time, the meat had more fat than meat (beef brisket, pulled pork, and ribs), so we were pretty disappointed.

Excellent barbecue restaurant. Tender juicy brisket, flavorful pulled pork and chicken. Excellent banana pudding. Both times I have come to this location the service has been friendly, helpful, and my order has been correct. I will absolutely come back to this location again.

I went there to get some of there ribs for the holiday , first off they were not ready for the crowd and it showed, everything was running out, I had to wait for over 40 minutes for my ribs, it was ok not good as usual, I know now that not to go during holidays because they don't have any plans down, and everyone is running around not sure what to do, they have great food just depends on when you go

City Barbecue was hands down the best collard greens and cornbread I've had at fast food. And their pulled chicken and pulled pork should earn an award. Delicious! And the whole meal for 3 adults was less than $40.

Too burnt and also gave me wrong item. I ordered burnt ends and had up charge and only got 3. very small portions for price. Banana pudding was great though.

I ordered pork belly in the founders plate, it was dry like chewing jerky, no fat just very dry meat. Was very sad. I heard the person behind the counter say to the cashier not to sell that for awhile. I’m guessing I got the dried up bits that were left. If they were out they could have said that and I would have picked something else no problem. I’ve gone to this chain in Ohio and had pretty good food. This location in Grand Rapids (where I live) won’t be seeing my money again. Cashier was nice, sauce was good, many protein was very disappointing.

Consistent issues at this location. Currently been waiting 40 minutes at curbside for my order, and no one will answer the phone. Past orders have had mistakes too (missing items, wrong order received, etc.). They were good for their first year, but service and quality has declined pretty dramatically since.
