Interesting location. Rhubarb pie was great, fresh, flakey crust, nice balance of sweet and tart. Cottage cheese was very small curd with little whey, good. Biscuits and gravy not good. Gravy was watery and brownish with tiny bits of sausage, Biscuits had an undercooked dough quality. I am anxious to come back to try other desserts.
Very disappointed in our experience today. We have come to this place several times. Entered the restaurant and we were greeted upon entry. My 7 year old had never been here and was excited to check it out. We let her pick the table. A table came into the same area after us. A waitress rudely walked by tossing menus on our table and proceeded the greet the table that had just sat down. She said not a word to us. I was a little taken aback as we've always had a good experience...
The Lunchroom is a gem in Bedford. This dinner has the best breakfast and lunch food in the area. I would rate there malted pancakes and waffles with the best I’ve had anywhere in the country. It’s also very economical and has a small town atmosphere. If you enjoy a great meal served by some great people make sure to give the lunchroom a try!
