I visit the Ottawa Building from time to time due to my job with the state of Michigan. When I am there, I visit the All Star Cafe to grab coffee or bacon and a bagel. Each time I go in the All Star Cafe, I am greeted by Roy and Brian. They have to be the most friendliest, proudest, funniest, and kindest cooks on the face of the earth. They LOVE what they do. It shows in how they communicate with all customers. On Thursday, 3/5 I decided to grab lunch at the All Star Cafe. I asked Roy if he would make me a bacon cheeseburger. He was so delighted! He made me feel like I was getting ready to eat the best burger ever! I requested hot fries. He was so eager to drop fresh fries. It was as if my requests were gifts for HIM! That put the biggest smile on my face. Then Brian put my burger and fries in the container with such joy and excitement. It was as if he was creating a masterpiece of art. It made me smile even bigger. I was so appreciative, I had to let the world know. I didn't just get great food, I got an experience from two individuals whose daily purpose is to made people enjoy their day just a little bit better. What a beautiful day I had! I grabbed lunch from here today for the first time. All staff I encountered and the owner were super nice, there was a nice selection of hot food and snacks, the prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous. I will definitely be back again. Hopefully, I can leave early enough to stop in for breakfast before work one of these days!

I don’t work for the State, I am not a regular but I can say the food was fantastic!!! I had their pizza casserole!!! Also, the prices are insane! I feel the quality of the food is better than many restaurants and the prices are so low for what you receive! Friendly staff! 5***** all around!!!

Not a bad place to grab a quick bite if you're an employee of the state of Michigan. The wings are better than horrocks, thereare plenty of salad bar options. And french fries if that's your thing. Checkout is kind of a mess and reminiscent of school cafeteria.
