Deceptive Businesses Practices. Not to be trusted!!I was really craving some good Thai food, so I walked 15 minutes from my hotel to this business for a takeout order. I ordered the gang musmun. When the lady rang me up, the order total seemed high. When she handed me the receipt to sign, it was an even higher price than what she had just stated a moment earlier. I asked her about it, and she told me I had been charged a dollar for the takeout containers. Nowhere on any sign or on the menu does it state there is a charge for takeout containers. I’m pretty sure she was just padding my bill to benefit her business. Outrageous!! After walking so far, and still having to walk back, I just decided to pay the bogus charge since I was tired and hungry.As for the food, it was disappointing. Watery and too heavily seasoned with fish sauce. It tasted like bland heavily salted water. Very disappointing as I’ve had some amazing curries in my life and know good Thai food. This was not good Thai food. Not even close. I can’t judge an entire restaurant based on one dish, but I can tell you, based on this one dish I would definitely not return. That’s apart from the bogus extra charge to my bill.As for the restaurant itself. It was dingy, run down and not clean. The menu I was handed to look over was filthy and sticky. I used hand sanitizer after touching it. So gross.Very disappointing experience. I am in Lansing frequently for work and will never return to Bangkok House. If you are in the area looking for Thai food, there are two other restaurants within walking distance, I’d try one of those first if I were you.

I went there to pick up an order as a delivery person and they refused to give it to me. They told me I had to pay for it which is never the case for this delivery service. Very shady business. I think they were trying to get double pay for this order. I saw the food there sitting on the table right in front of me. I had to call support and they told me yes in fact that the food was paid for by the customer, which I already knew. While I was there for 10 minutes and their food was sitting on the table dieing. Ended up canceling the order so the customer had to wait even longer to get their food and I'm sure it was cold and horrible by the time they got it. I'm sure this restaurant did not remake the food for the customer because they seem very cheap and shady like I said, trying to get double pay.

So disappointed after 26 years. Asked for Extra hot as I only order only the chicken fried rice EXTRA hot you can tell the cook has changed or they don’t care because they just dumped a jar of rep pepper Flakes in the container and mixed it and said here like I can’t tell the difference. My boyfriend ordered MILD and he got spicy and was told it was mild. His stomach burned from the his ulcer. They tried to say it was mild. I took the $7 lunch price change even as loyal a customer NEVER GOING BACK! I’m DONE . I

The lady is not friendly. The ambience is welcoming with bad odor … first time bad dine in experience…If you don’t want to end up in unhealthy situation better avoid this place. Waste of time, health and money spent here… recommend some official to inspect the place how the food is prepared ! Never try again or recommend anyone!

Fabulous little spot for authentic cuisine. We got the pad Thai with crab and the #4 with tofu. Only advice is that the spice levels are American, not Thai (we got medium and it wasn't spicy at all) so order accordingly.

Had the worst Thai food experience. We ordered fried rice and it’s super salty, Pad Se’wee was not fully cooked and over sauced, I can taste the vegetables raw and the black sweet sauce raw. The server lady was literally throwing the dish on our table, not friendly but rude like if we were eating it for free. I gave two stars in food because the chicken satay was delicious. I don’t recommend and will never come back.
