I haven't been here since the first year that they opened. Pleased to see a steady stream of customers come through for takeout + dining in during our visit.

We ordered:

Soy Garlic Wings — I was hoping they were Korean Fried, but they were the typical unbattered lightly fried wings. The soy garlic sauce was sweeter than I preferred, but overall, a decent wing.

2 Bento Boxes (Bulgogi + Mongolian Beef) —A great value with an assortment of apps (2 tempura veggies, 1 fried dumpling, 1 spring roll), kimchi, salad, rice + meat.

The beef in both of our boxes was tender + well-flavored. I like a spicier, tangier kimchi, but it was still good.

There CANNOT be someone there that is Korean or knows how to make Korean or any Asian food well. I got the bulgogi bento and the Mongolian beef rice bowl. The beef taste like the kind that comes in a bag or can. The texture of elementary school Salisbury steak. The bulgogi tasted like syrupy sugar soaked beef with a splash of soy sauce. The Mongolian beef didn’t have any flavor other than super salt and soy. The rice was over cooked and soggy. The price for both items were high so I expected the quality and flavor to be better than it was. The only good tasting things were deep fried. The drink might be good and other fried snacks. I do NOT recommend buying full meals or entree items at this store.

Ordered tofu ramen last night and it was the only thing I ate all day. The tofu was soggy, ate a couple before I couldn’t bare it anymore. Woke up in the middle of the night very sick, got food poisoning. Trust your senses, if something is off do not continue to eat it. Sad since usually we like bento.

Great food, great service. We love Bento! My daughter asks to come weekly 🥰 We had the birria tots today and they were fabulous!

It was my first time ordering from them, and I was impressed with how good the portion of food you received is. It all tasted fresh even after being delivered.
I had the spicy tofu with purple rice and sauteed vegetables and the crab rangoon.
I would definitely say give this place a shot.

I don't get to this side of town as much as I would like and stopping at Bento is always a treat. Remodeled space has a nice vibe and they do boozy things now (for those who partake). I really enjoyed my green apple green tea boba and tempura chicken special!

Picked up my order and went home. Only to find no side of sauce that I ordered. Call and they told me the sauce was optional. I choose the option of getting the sauce and they did not give me it. Never going back. Poor service.

Excellent place. We frequent bentos once a week. Their drinks, specifically the frozen horchata and chocolate cover strawberries, are awesome, and their fusions are great. I’ve tried the chicken nachos, the birria fries, the bulgogi, the ramen.

Food is great! Staff are friendly. They require you to pay upfront. There’s almost no service. Help yourself!

Was in town for training. Had the seafood pancake. It was DELICIOUS and the service was great. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Lansing.

Bento has really good Korean BBQ. Good portion sizes. THEY SELL ALCOHOL. I was shocked; as this is in Frandor (west of Panera). They have delicious looking Fruity Smoothie drinks like "Mango Margarita"...yes PLEASE. They also serve non-alcoholic Smoothies which can be dairy free upon request. The Bulgogi (bul•gow•gee) is delicious and tender. Purple rice is fluffy and sticky at the same time. The vegetables are fresh, blanched perfectly, then pan-seared. The only downside is the location of the restroom. It's a little hidden away from the dining area. I don't remember seeing large signage, but then again, I'm getting older?
Every Wednesday there is $1.50 MSU and LCC Student Discount and MSU and LCC Staff and Faculty get 10% off. (Must show ID). A must when visiting Frandor...because alcohol plus that parking lot equals an Uber.

Dietary restrictions: The food is made fresh, You can ask them to take some things out before they cook, if necessary.
