Fast service, decent size sandwich, and an interesting red sauce, which I understand is famous, but I didn’t quite get into it. It doesn’t really taste like anything else I’ve ever had. (Unique)

Order ready really fast.
Interior could use a refresh.
Has Pepsi Zero on-tap.
Sandwich somewhat better than competitors. Could take a page from Philly originals and up the level of the bread.
Cheese a bit understated, but many of us will always want more.

I’ve liked Big John since they came to Lansing, and the sandwiches have always been delicious. The restaurant is clean, although fairly spartan, and the staff was nice once they noticed a customer. This last time I just got the standard beef sandwich, and it was great. The red sauce really adds to the flavor, and it doesn’t detract from the meatiness. Being right off the highway, this is one of my fast go-to spots in the Lansing area.
