BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse

It was a very busy day, so the wait staff was a bit overwhelmed. In our party of 7, four of us ordered steaks all were over cooked. We all ordered them medium rare and two were well done and the other two were medium/well.

We had a great experience at BJ's brewhouse. They were very accommodating to us changing our reservation time. The manager greeted us at the door to confirm our party and was very engaging and nice. Our server was great as well as the food. 

They were out of our favorite IPA - AGAIN. They also ran out of our dining mate's favorite bourbon. Learn how to manage this! We also had our food come out 2 x 2 with nearly 10 minutes between. This is bad practice. No one wants to sit there and watch half their table eat while their food isn't in front of them. I'm not sure that I would come here again. And what server wants to deliver the bad news about what they don't have available; that's embarrassing. Do better!

Some of the hot meals came out cold and when the pizookie trio came out, 20 minutes after ordering it, the ice cream was melted. Our waitress apparently had no concerns with serving us the dessert as she never offered to send it back to make a new dessert, just dropped it off and said enjoy. Money wasted.

Obviously I love BJ's especially for their Pizookies! We visited on a Saturday lunchtime. It was busy, but not packed and we were a larger group. The disappointments were a very long time for food to arrive and my sandwich had clearly been sitting awhile as the bottom was sopped. The goods were that the rest of the tables meals looked awesome! I especially was impressed with the Broccoli Cheese soup in a bread bowl, the protein bowels (shrimp, was a bit soggy), wedge salad, and Chicken pasta. Kids meals were all decent sized and looked appetizing. Of waitstaff kept drinks coming as the clocked ticked away. We were all pretty hungry and had we known how long it would take we would have gotten some appetizers. More good news - the Pizookies calmed out fast and fresh. Cookie nice and warm ice cream firm and stacked. It was a procession as multiple waitstaff arrived with our collection of Pizookies. Clearly they work as a team when needed. The restaurant atmosphere is brewpub style and works for families & groups as well as smaller parties. Noise levels were good.

Definitely could use some room partitions and or sound dampening. It was hard to hear and got over stimulating quickly. Our server was great with our large party and other than a couple of glitches with pop flavors, it felt more seamless than most large group seatings I've been a part of.

Our waitress Leisa was attentive and pleasant. Food was excellent and of course, you can't leave BJ's without a Pazookie Flight!

used to be a good restaurant now terrible. worst service and food was terrible esp for a 100$ bill: no manager to be seen anywhere. Never going again

We have been to many different Restaurants & Breweries. By far the best so far. Great menu, very diverse. Good Service. Food was above our expectations. Already looking forward to coming back.

This was my first time to BJ's, and I was with my child daughter having dinner before an event at the Wharton. I don't have any complaints about visiting BJ's. The menu was huge, a good reason to come back and try more. We only had the burgers, and they were huge and cooked medium just as we asked. Pizookies, what a fun menu option. We each chose a different flavor and they were delicious. Decent price point compared to similar dining options.

Soup was lukewarm, sandwich had brown avocado, fries were lukewarm, no pre-bussing, no drink refills unless we asked, dessert took too long and had to ask repeatedly for our bills.

I read bad reviews so I was expecting to have long wait times and horrible food for a high price.
This is my experience for a Christmas party with a reservation.
We had a Thursday reservation and the parking lot that’s huge was full so we had to park at a bank next door (just means to me they are popular), We showed up on time and our table was ready, When we ordered things on the menu were out of stock (part of bad reviews I read bur understandable for the amount of people).
Food arrived at an impressive time for how crowded it was and was very tasty! Everyone left happy!
8/10 and I will try again

Reservations were placed for eight guests for a birthday party and all people in the party were traveling over an hour to meet. When arriving for reservations we were told they don’t do reservations and it would be and hour and a half wait. You should not make reservations accessible if they are not going to be honored.

Visiting family in East Lansing and made a reservation the night before through Open Table for eight people at 6:15 pm on a Saturday night. Received confirmation number 812102583 from Open Table. The whole party arrived on time but were told that it would be a 2 hour wait. No apologies or acknowledgement of inconvenience. Really?
