Really bad service, poorly made drinks, skimpy portions. Stay away and let it burn.

Food was reasonably priced. I loved eating in the train car! I think the long walk for staff to bring drinks was difficult.

Update: Owners reached out with a generic review. If you want a repeat customer, I'd hope they would make it right. Offer a discount, a gift card, or something for my time and money spent on inedible, burnt food (as notated in my picture).
Still trying to figure out why owner's haven't reached out. Seems they haven't responded to poor reviews in months...
I wanted to like this place. Lansing can use some fresh, and new restaurants that taste good.
Service was meh. Not excited, didn't sell us or recommend anything. When you have a nice cocktail menu with $14 drinks, you'd think you be a little more passionate about what you're serving/selling.
Food was the worst part. We just got apps. IDK if the chicken tenders are supposed to be burnt on purpose?? See attached picture. With watery dipping sauces.
Spin dip actually tasted decent, the chips were a combination of raw and stale, interesting. Vegan pot stickers were cold, no flavor. Brussels we're soggy.
Everyone was just in a hurry to leave. I really can't believe how terrible it was?? Was it an off night?

EDIT: My review won't change, as I am only commenting on my experience at this location/on this day/at this time, however, I would like to make note of the labor disputes. Owners need to pay their workers a fair wage, treat them like the human beings they are instead of tools for profit. After the settlement, I hope the future is bright for the employees at every location and that they receive the respect they deserve. Consider stopping by for lunch, and tip your server well; a fat tip is always a way to support the people, not the company.
ORIGINAL: My friend and I came in at 4pm. Sammy was incredibly kind and quick to greet us. We were seated right away. The train car is a severely overlooked highlight. I've seen some complaints that it is too tiny, to which I say: you have never been in a train. Tables are close together but I would not describe it as close enough to share food with the other patrons--some of you are bitter and overdramatic.
The service was incredible. Sammy was attentive, quick to take our drink order, quick to get our app order in, and let us rest to decide. She has a natural sense of when to approach the table, providing friendly service without overwhelming patrons. She was incredible, and really sweet!
The food was insane, in the best way. The everything pretzel bites came out fresh and hot, and we savored every bite. The provided dips complimented the savory flavor of the pretzels very well. I ordered the mac and cheese large plate, which was reasonably priced for the amount I got. It was rich and creamy, but not overbearing--which I greatly appreciate in a mac and cheese. My friend got the grilled cheese (apple, gouda, honey sriracha, and bacon on sourdough), he described it as a well balanced flavor explosion. Although he enjoys grilled chicken sandwiches with mayo and cheese (?), based on his description: "it's tart and sweet with the apple, smoky with the bacon, rich from the cheese, but rounded out by the tangy sourdough," I feel I can trust him this once.
If you're skeptical because of bad reviews, ignore that mess and give this place a try. Order what sounds new and fun and you won't regret it. (We didn't get drinks this time around but I recommend Blake's Cider Mill Donut Cider!)
Reasonably priced and gay; 5 stars.

Absolutely loved going here with my friend as this is my favorite restaurant in the Lansing area as it's right next to the train track. Jasmine was so good to me as a server. She was sweet, kind and funny. She's the best server I've ever had

Amazing service and delicious food! My mom took my 15 month old and I here for lunch today. (Her second visit, our first) I was trying to find a side that I could order for my daughter to eat, and our waitress offered to custom make her a fruit bowl with only the fruits that she could easily eat. Not only that, but when she came back with it, she had cut up all the fruit into bite size pieces for her! It was so sweet! The grilled fish tacos that I got were great, and the onion rings that we got as an appetizer were to die for! The seasoning on them was incredible! Lovely experience.

This place is garbage. Their food is the worst I have ever had. The corporation is garbage. They need to be investigated by the health department and labor board.

I hope we came on a bad day. I hope normal isn't guests waiting 2.5 hours between walking in the door and food is served. I have good things to say, too, though. The food was delicious, and they have multiple vegan options on the menu. The server was energetic, polite, and knowledgeable about the food. The non-gendered single occupancy restrooms were clean. The whole aesthetic with the train car is pretty cool.
Vegetarian options: Multiple vegan options!

This place was unexpected and very cute!! We stumbled upon this location looking for a brunch stop and definitely will be coming back. The food was delicious and the atmosphere even better. A remodeled depot with the train car still available for seating, has a very charming atmosphere and large enough for special events. We were lucky and got seated rather quickly, however, highly recommend making reservations during the weekend brunch hours to ensure a spot. The staff were very friendly and cheerful and all together created a pleasant experience. The menu has a little bit of everything and I was absolutely in love with the build your own bloody and mimosa bar. After visiting the Lansing location - I'm intrigued and would like to visit the other locations.
