My 1st dinner at Bowdie's...
I've had some very good steaks in my 82 year lifetime, but the ribeye steak I ordered was BY FAR the best steak I've ever had!
It was cooked perfectly: tender and juicy inside with a nicely browned crust. And most importantly, incredibly delicious!
The sides were also excellent and between the five of us, we shared most (all?) of the generously-portioned sides on the menu.
This is not a large facility and it's definitely expensive, but if the occasion warrants it, WOW!!

A nice place to celebrate a special occasion!

Have to do something about rude guest. Sitting next to two people yelling at each other, answering their phone during dinner. Just ruins the night.

Got worse throughout the night, actively calling people over and telling them how attractive they are. Absolutely horrible.

We have been on vacation for the past week and eating at very good restaurants in Detroit. So when we got here, neither of us were in the mood for another steak. We both decided on a different dinner. I had the escargo appetizer, crab cake appetizer and the wedge salad. The wife had escargo, shrimp bisque and the ceasar salad. The escargo was pretty good, but it’s hard to mess them up. The crab”cake” was amazing. The shrimp bisque was really really good, like soak it up with bread good. The highlight for me was the wedge salad. Instead of bacon it is served with pork belly, sticky and delicious. The service was on point and very attentive. Not so sure that this wasn’t our best meal, although the London Chop house in Detroit was really good too. Can’t go wrong here.

Bowdies was a nice treat for our anniversary. All the food was amazing and to top it off they gave us a complementary brownie for our anniversary.

Rachel is a fantastic server and the food is always delicious. Highly recommend the Filet Mignon with Bowdie's sauce and the mushrooms!

It was just fine. I have a gluten allergy that I made note of while making the reservation in addition putting the special occasion. The staff were friendly and prompt, however there were issues in other things. Our special occasion wasn't once acknowledged, the gluten free bread wasn't available after being told what I could eat, and then they put croutons on my salad after I said no croutons and again reminded them of my allergy. Both of our drinks were too syrupy too. It was just...fine. But when we're paying $320, I don't want just fine. I will say I don't believe this is a location problem, but a problem with Bowdies as a whole. We thought we'd try it at a different location to see if that made a difference and unfortunately was the same.
