I've heard people raving about Buddy's for a while so decided to give this one a try being the closest to me. The store was clean, the staff was friendly, food was ready in a reasonable amount of time, but for me it was flavorless and forgettable. I ordered the 4 square Hawaiian and cheese breadsticks. Unlike other pizza places where the pizza and flavors stay with you for a while, there is nothing. Even the marinara for dipping breadsticks was generic, no zip or zing, just tomato.

We visited Buddy's while on a trip. Coming from New Jersey, we are pretty picky about pizza. The pizza at Buddy's was delicious. The crust is thicker, and there was a decent amount of sauce on the pizza. Each bite was an explosion of flavor; absolutely delicious! We also appreciated the great customer service. Abbe, our server, took the time to answer any questions about the menu, and was attentive to our needs. When my son's pizza was made incorrectly, Abbe made sure the order was corrected. Thank you Buddy's for providing great food and excellent customer service. We could certainly use one of your restaurants back in NJ!

We stopped in for lunch on a weekday and ordered the loaded cheese fries and a few pizzas. Everything was delicious. The interior was clean and bright. Service was good. We love Buddys and will stop by when we’re in the area.

My husband and I just left Buddy’s. There were maybe five other tables of customers in the entire restaurant. We were seated right away and then forgotten. Not a single person asked is if we wanted to order, took a drink order, nothing. We made eye contact with several servers who all immediately looked away. My husband approached who we assumed to be the manager as we walked out. He told him we sat for 10 minutes and were never helped. He responded with: “OK” I guess we understand why they weren’t busy at dinner time on a Friday night.

Overall the pizza was very good. We got to Motown style pizza! The staff was pleasant. We did have a group of well behaved children ( 6 total and 4 adults) after eating we stayed a while to catch up (maybe an additional 25 minutes) with the adults and felt pressure to leave after we ate. I understand if they needed the space however there was no wait. We also had tipped well because service was not bad. However it’s rude to make customers feel like they need to leave. As we caught the hostess constantly staring and pointing as to when we were going to leave.

Excellent Detroit style. Our waitress said she was new, but she was totally awesome. We had a variety of pizzas, including gluten free. All were tasty with perfect crust. Nice selection of craft beers, too.

We went and there were maybe three other tables eating. The food was pretty cold when we got ig. Alfredo was fairly flavorless. For as slow as it we, we thought our food should have arrived to the table hot and the server slightly more attentive. We had to ask other servers walking by for silverware and side plates.

Stopped in to try for the first time. The thin crust 4 square is my favorite also had the loaded fries…delicious but filling. Let’s not forget the yummy bread sticks. Our server Tatiana was awesome. Very friendly and attentive will be back.

The pizza wasn't amazing. We spent about $85 with tip for our family of 4 and even the kids said they'd be fine with little Cesar's next time. As with most places, they are sadly understaffed, but our waitress was sweet and pleasant, despite knowing she was covering half the place by herself. We made sure she knew she was doing great.

We really enjoyed Buddy's. It was a busy Friday night and we were seated immediately and served quickly. The pizza options are great and having eaten pizzas all around the world - Rome, Chicago, New York, Palermo, New Orleans, Naples, Florence, Milwaukee, San Jose, CR, Munich, and Sydney we found this pizza excellent in every way. We had never had brick cheese as the base cheese and it was amazing. The crust was the perfect mix of chewy and crip for both our pizzas along with the chunky tomatoes. It was a great meal all the way around.

management seems to be amazing its a music artist community inspired place that has been on many recommendations such as foodnetwork motown museum.

So I'm kind of torn because my first experience there was absolutely phenomenal, but last night was a major disappointment. Just hoping it was an off night for them because the first of now two times I've had it, it was the best Pizza in the Lansing area. Last night the dough felt undercooked and it appeared it'd been tipped at one point because the cheese had all basically slid to one side of the 8 square pizza, it was a mess. I'd definitely try it again I think because like I said, my first time there it was amazing. Just really disappointed in what we received last night from the Lansing location.

First time at Buddy's. Overall I was pleased. The ingredients were of high quality and had a lot of flavor. The pizzas were put together well and the service was excellent. We went at a slower period, so I'd be curious to see how the environment is when it's filled. From left to right...The Henry Ford, BBQ Conant, Mediterranean and Sicilian. These were the leftover we took home to gauge how it reheats.

We gave Buddy's a try last year, using a coupon. The two takeout foursquares cost five dollars more than our usual pizza place, for half as much pizza (and without the coupon it would have cost DOUBLE our normal order!). The crust and sauce were good, we liked the Wisconsin brick cheese and the crunchy edge around the square pie; but the toppings were very sparse. We didn't go back. Last week another coupon came, and we decided to give Buddy's a second chance. This time we really won't be going back. Even as a BOGO it isn't worth the price. We ordered two 1-top pizzas. The mushroom pizza had maybe one sliced mushroom dusted across it; the pineapple pizza had 20 pieces of pineapple total - as if the cook counted them out! You couldn't even taste the pineapple; it may as well have been a plain cheese pizza. This restaurant is obviously trying to save money by being stingy with ingredients. There are so many other pizza places in town that are both good and (in this era of challenging inflation) much more affordable. For what Buddy's charges, we expected outstanding pizza. It simply isn't.
