This cake was a 3/10. The frosting was not sweet. It also had a strong oily after taste that made it pretty unpleasant. The cake itself was tough and too dense. The decorations and service were exactly what we’d expect and great. It’s a bummer the cake didn’t match that.

I have tried about every flavor of cupcakes that Cakes A Bloomin has as well as the cookies and all were so delicious. Recently I ordered a cake for a retirement. One of the guest started scraping the frosting off of her piece of cake as she dislikes frosting. Her spouse coaxed her into trying it. She approached me asking for directions to the bakery and said that she wanted to gobble the frosting and said that she no longer dislikes frosting as long as it is from Cakes A Bloomin. The cake was a big hit with no left over cake. Thank you for making such delicious sweet treats and for giving the best in customer service!!

I used Cakes a Bloomin for my wedding cake. I didn’t live in the area so I hadn’t used them before, but I was pleasantly surprised! I gave them a photo of the cake I wanted and it turned out just like it! The marble cake with buttercream icing as very good!

They did an amazing job with the cake for my 21st birthday. I showed them my inspo and they absolutely delivered, looked identical to the photo! They also had very affordable prices, and had a quick turnaround. I highly recommend!!
This is our favorite cupcake spot. They did our wedding and have become a way that we mark special occasions. They are worth the drive and absolutely a hidden gem in mid-Michigan. Instead of freezing our wedding cakes we opted to come back every year to get fresh cupcakes to celebrate our anniversary.

Smells so good when you walk in. We got a great variety, 3 dozens. Just a little bummed they don’t offer vegan options. There’s a large vegan community here on the west side that drive all the way to Okemos or East Lansing to accommodate their dietary restriction. It would be so much more inclusive if they did but I give grace to them sticking to what they do best. 🩵
