I'm not sure I get the love for this place. Food is a solid 4. And a girl who waited at me did a good job helping me. But the owner, that everybody seems to love gave me what I interpreted as dirty/unfriendly looks both times she came out. Parking area is extremely small difficult. And prices are stout for stand-up counter ordering and the food you get. I was here probably 4 years ago and it'll probably be another 4 years before I'm back.

Back in 2018, this spot was so great! I highly enjoyed the rib tips and macaroni and cheese platter that I ordered, loved the Viet-bbq hybrid, and looked forward to returning.
I went back this week, and the food is absolutely not the same. Summer rolls were fine. Rib tips were absolutely horrible and some of the worst bbq I’ve ever had. The meat looked and tasted old, and was covered in thick, goopy bbq sauce — possibly store bought. On sight, I knew these tips would be all wrong. They were mush, with none of the flavor or texture that I remembered, and were from who knows how many days ago. Macaroni and cheese had been reheated in the microwave and the cheese had separated. It was utterly dry and flavorless.
The owner is a very nice lady. I’m not sure what happened here, but suspect it may be pandemic-related. It’s a truly sad situation.

One of my favorite spots in Lansing! The banh mi sandwiches are absolutely amazing with fresh ingredients and bread. Though the sandwich is slightly on the expensive side, it's definitely worth it while supporting a small business! If you really want an authentic and delicious banh mi, definitely bring your service here!!

This is by far not a fancy place, better since they took the phone store out but service is always slow but the food is definitely worth it. I think they have the Best bahn mi in town. Their barbecue is top notch as well.

It doesn’t look like much, but this place really packs a punch with flavor. The woman who works there is super nice. This is some really good barbecue. I judged the outside before I even sat down. I have to learn more to not do this. Buddy of mine ended up getting the baked beans. There was tons of meat and richness in them. I got the corn bread and it was some of the softest cornbread I’ve ever eaten in my life. This food is packed with flavor and is priced very well in my opinion. I would absolutely eat here all the time if I was from the area. 9/10 overall experience.

Ordered the burger with brisket. Burger was dry. Fries were overcooked and dry ,looked reheated. Mac and cheese was not creamy at all. Had the texture of overly (microwaved) . No taste. I was shocked after all the great reviews ive seen. They must have seen guy fiere coming. I wont be back.
Food was decent. I could hear then microwaving the sides. Took about 15-20 minutes to get my food at an empty restaurant.
Pulled pork sandwich was decent though. Very moist. Canned soda only at the time.
