THE most ridiculous Chinese restaurant across the US. One-hour waiting time after being seated, poor service, mandatory tips, and just average food. On top of that, it sounded like customers were being blamed for not making reservations?? Are you kidding? If you are reservation only, please make that clear on your website and don’t seat people at all! We would have had no problem leaving from the start instead of wasting time. Never again.

If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food, This is the place! Food is fantastic and portions are BIG! Little on the expensive side, but it was worth it. Will be coming back for sure!

For such a delicious and authentic Chinese meal, this just can't be beat. I don't know why they were nearly empty on a Friday night because after one visit, we're already discussing our next trip to Chef Gong and what we might try. The fries pork in scoop was unreal so delectable. Great recommendations from the server, too.

My new favorite restaurant! This is the most authentic Chinese food I’ve ever had. It is so high quality and delicious. I love the atmosphere in the restaurant too - the staff, music, and decor are lovely.

We had lunch here, it was our first time in the restaurant. The service was friendly and the food is amazing. We were excited to try everything and ordered an abundance of food. The pan fried dumplings and the scallion pancakes were delicious! For our entrees, we tried the shrimp fried noodles and sweet and sour pork. Everything was so flavorful. Each dish was filled with delicious and fresh vegetables! We had plenty leftover for lunch the next day. We can’t wait to go back to try other menu items!

Haven’t quite found an authentic Cantonese style restaurant to the caliber of Chef Gong, so looks like Sichuan for the win in the Lansing area! Always fresh, always delicious. Thoughtful homemade dishes that stand the test of time.

I rarely leave reviews. This is the best Asian food I have had in the Lansing area. That’s saying a lot, as there’s a lot of good options in the area. The service was not the warmest at first but it did get better as the meal went on. But the food was so good that we didn’t even care about it. The food was so incredible. The dry chili chicken was one of the best tasting chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The spare ribs, shrimp, pork belly, bok choy, lo mein, fried rice were all 10/10 incredible. If you like Chinese food you MUST eat here.

Walked in for lunch and realized it was a little above our price range that we wanted to spend. Got up to leave and expressed this to the host and he just said "no problem, I figured that already." Not a very welcoming atmosphere or employee. Time: 1:22pm, Dec 8th, 2024

Fantastic authentic cuisine.. The dumplings and the dry pot chicken were fantastic. I would definitely recommend coming here an experience and some delicious delicacies. Sesame balls are also a great way to finish a great meal. very good prices for the portion size. The ambience is extravagant! would highly recommend

If you are short on time don’t go here. If you want amazing authentic food, clean cozy atmosphere, this is the place for you. We ended up here because the town was packed for MSU homecoming. Will be back to enjoy different options.
