This once poorly maintained restaurant has greatly improved after the new owner took over the business. The restaurant is spacious and clean, and the food is of high quality. The staff are friendly, and the restaurant is right next to a bunch of bars. It's a perfect place to grab a bite when you're hungry at night, as it stays open until 2 a.m.

I’ve been coming to China Flavor for the last 9 years. Since the new ownership, everything has only been improved. It’s hard to take over a place that has been on the decline with service and food when the passion is lost, but you can clearly tell that the new owners are genuine and love their craft. My favorite dish is the deep fried spicy chicken house combo (extra spicy) with fried dumplings and a Coke. Anything on the menu is great, so give it a try :)

The Szechuan chicken sauce was like water with some spices. It wouldn’t even stay on the ingredients, but slid off like eating a broth soup with a fork. Seasoning was unevenly distributed where one bite would have hardly any spice and the next was like fire even though I had stirred it. Nice proportion levels between the meat and veggies.
The sour soup was not very spicy and bland with not much to it in its contents.
My biggest gripe is that I did not receive my vegetable eggroll and it’s my favorite part of a Chinese meal.
I wanted to try a new place, but I will not put this one as a regular eatery again.

I think this place got new owners like 6 months ago. It’s been very good since then. The food was terrible under previous ownership but great now so everyone who had a bad experience under previous ownership should try this place again.

Got food delivered there wasn't much food in there for paying 16$ per meal. Also the food was just horrible the honey chicken was just sweet and sour chicken and the beef and broccoli was just as bad the broccoli was raw and there was barely any sauce to cover it all. I definitely would not recommend this if you are a huge lover of Chinese food. I am going to call and ask for a refund I will repost and let you know how that goes!!

Wonderful customer service, delicious food, beautifully clean restaurant, reasonable prices, enormous portions, AND open late? This is definitely a whole new China Flavor. Highly recommend. Ignore the outdated reviews for the previous owners and go here immediately!

Great food, good price, and generous with adding an extra topping for free. Seating area looks under renovation currently. Full 20 min wait time needed for carry out. Parking is a hassle due to construction, must park along side street instead of Michigan Ave.

THERE WAS A PENNY WITH MY SESAME CHICKEN. The rude old owner refused to just give back the cash refund but offered store credit instead, why would I want to eat from this place again. Had to call the cops to get involved and the health department ( please see attached photo and videos).
Can't complain about the amount of meat and veggies in the food I actually got full and wasn't hungry again later but the food was bland no one here was impressed with their food except for the Crab Rangoon s

Ordered food, went to pick it up, the restaurant was locked, hours didn’t say they were closed, food is usually awful anyways and I always tell my daughter not to bother but she keeps trying. That was the last straw though, any place but this one.
