I have had many good experiences with this restaurant since the mid 80's. The food has always been top notch and Delicious every time I have visited. The staff is super nice and very helpful to describe a few dishes that I had questions about because I like to try new things. I find the green salsa verde extremely delicious with just the right amount of kick. I've never walked out disappointed.
They have very reasonable prices and I highly recommend that you try it out for yourself because tasting it for yourself is the only way to discover the wonderful cuisine served here.
I would say that it's usually $10-$20 per person maybe more if you're dining in and have a few drinks (They do serve alcohol as well)
5 Stars for sure.

An old favorite, I hit up El Az any time I'm in town!

This place isn't much to look at, but when it comes to food they never disappoint!! I have been coming here since 1981~ish when I lived in the neighborhood on Butler St. I no longer live in MI, but every time I visit I try to make this a stop!! 🌮🌮🌮

Best Mexican food in the USA, as far as my opinion. Love the staff, always. Coming here since 1987.

Great food! Favorite haunt for Sparrow nurses for years. Best waitstaff, out door patio is fabulous this time of year

Stopped by for dinner and was verrrry disappointed. Used to go there for Topopo salad. Ordered rice and beans with salad. Horrible cold undone rice and salad slopped over the side of plate. Won’t stop by again

One word: Topopo Salad. Love it, West Saginaw Street is my preference.

I eat at both the West Lansing and East Lansing location several times a month. It doesn't matter whether I eat in the restaurant or get takeout the food is as great. A topopo salad and some of the cheese dip and chips and you're set. No question it's a Lansing favorite for a reason. You'll never leave disappointed.

Food does not taste authentic. Rice and beans taste like they came from a box or can.

Rice has too much tomato taste, it's almost like they just put tomato paste on the rice after it's cooked. Leaves a weird film in your mouth. Chimichanga was alright, but felt lacking. Has very limited options if you're lactose intolerant since half of the menu has cheese and is premade so you cannot request without. Staff was great though, very friendly.

Their lunch specials are excellent! Blue Corn Enchiladas.... Heaven. Get green sauce. It's really white. Many Jalapeños. Spicy, creamy heaven!

I mean the interior is very retro old.. But the food is worth it.
