Came for dinner on Saturday evening. Service was great, portions perfect. Flavors fantastic! We had the queso birria, an order of tacos, the choriqueso, and our toddler had a chicken quesadilla and fries. I love they have horchata and the Jamaica (hibiscus flower) drink. Can't wait to go back!

Great food, quick and friendly service. We look forward to coming back soon and trying some of their other dishes. Highly recommend any of the tacos and the birria ramen!

First off, the food was amazing, it was fast, hot and fresh. The decorations were really cool too and you could tell the staff really cares about their new business. The only recommendation I have is maybe a host stand or a sign pointing at where to order. It's a little confusing when you come in for the first time but I will definitely be coming back. The elote was just the cherry on top of the whole experience as well. So little Mexican restaurants offer that anymore and it's one of my favorites! This food seriously is on the same level as Acapulco, except they also have a drive through and are way cheaper!
The food is really good, the service is top notch. A great fast casual Mexican joint that serves up some fun and unique options along with the traditional fair. The portions were generous. The fried food was a bit too friend for my liking, but I like grilled Mexican food better, so take that with a grain of salt. Chicken dishes were the highlight of the experience. It was a very expensive experience as well.

Food was bad and over priced. No seasoning on anything. Everything was bland. Burrito tasted of just beans and rice. Would not recommend, better off going to Qdoba or Taco Bell even.

El Catrin Taco Shop offers delicious food that truly satisfies the taste buds. The tacos were excellent, bursting with flavor and authenticity. However, the service left something to be desired. Despite being the only patrons in the restaurant, we weren't greeted promptly or given much attention throughout the ordering process. We ordered to go after realizing they didn’t offer sit down service. You order your food up front and you can stay and sit if you want. Nonetheless, the food quality certainly merits a visit, albeit with hopes for an improvement in service.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. I couldn't eat it all. I liked the fresh limes with the tacos. I got 3 ground beef corn tacos w/o guac (came with onion and cilantro), topped them with lime juice and hot sauce (made me cry), also got sides of beans, rice and a side of chips, salsa and queso dip and a root beer. The seating is simple: some booths, some tables and chairs. It could use more color to liven it up. 2 TVs and Mexican music playing. I bought a $25 Seize the Deal gift cert the day before for only $12.50. My total came to $23.30 (no change back or balance left on the cert). So, for $12.50, I got my belly full with leftovers with crazy-good (loco-bueno) food. Time to go buy another gift cert! (They're located in the old KFC on Michigan Ave.)
