I grew up in Kansas City, eating some of the best BBQ on the planet. I moved to Michigan 9 years ago and have tried tons of barbecue restaurants and food trucks in attempt to get a taste of home. Nothing could compete. I stopped at this food truck on a whim when they were parked at Meckley's farm. They are spectacular! The sauce is sweet and flavorful, the pulled pork was tender, the beans were perfect, and the cornbread was moist and buttery. IMO this is the best BBQ in Michigan. Highly recommend.

Waited in line forever to get one of their parfaits. When I finally got up to the window to order they only had chicken and were out of mashed potatoes but still had to pay 10 dollars for one in which the chicken was dry and the Mac n cheese tasted like freezer burn. Not sure how that is possible but I ended up tossing the whole thing. I understand being busy and running out of the things and I was fine getting what they had, but the food itself was not good.

We had Got Smoke this past weekend for our daughters wedding and the food was amazing! We had brisket and pulled pork and Mac and cheese and other sides. It was sooo good. Everyone talked about the good food but I’d say the Mac and cheese was the biggest hit!! Thank you for being a part of our special day!

This food truck is less than original. Cold chicken, greasy Mac & Cheese and slow, slow, slow service. Very disappointing, wasting eight dollars on cold food.

I had the pleasure of eating a Piggy parfait today. This was by far the best bbq I’ve had in a long while. The beans were amazing. The Mac and cheese........Mmmmmm! The Lansing made 517 event was full of walking parfaits. This stuff is what happiness is made of.
