I’m from down south came here passing through and when I tell you first off the atmosphere just gave me so much memories then the food really felt like my grandparents made it some of the best food I had in a very long time the next time I’m in Lansing this will be my go to place I’m gonna make sure people know about this place

IMPRESSIVE! First, I would like to shout out Tonya/Theresa? Please forgive me. She was a beautiful Queen who served my family and I with such patience, care, warmth, and attention. Superior customer service for sure!! She treated this place like she owned it! 🖤 Which is what you want from employees. Friendly smile and presence too. My father & my daughter and I equally enjoyed our food. We were famished that day, so we got right into the food after grace- only have one photo to share (after a cleaned plate). I ordered the whiting (flavorful & crispy), mac & cheese (baked & delicious), yams (a bit sweet for my liking, but on point), and a hot cup of tea. Also on the table was the vegan burger, cornbread muffin, (1) fried & (1) seared pork chop, collard greens, and green beans. We all agreed that everything was 10/10!! Highly recommend. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Lots of historical moments on the walls to enjoy. The next time we are in town, we will definitely visit again!

Like walking in grandmas kitchen delicious relaxing I even do my Bible study before lunch I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wants good good home cooking in a beautiful atmosphere.

It slaps every time!! What a great place for awesome soul food!! Everything from the fried chicken, fried fish to the sides: all perfect. Seasoned well and warm friendly service keeps us coming back. It’s an hour drive from our house, but worth the drive to Lansing!

Service is hit or miss. But there are a few that go up and out of their way to take care of you. Food is definitely good love the chicken!

After a visit to The Michigan History Center with Aunt and Uncle, we wanted Soul Food. And Gregory’s Soul Fool didn’t disappoint! Wife and I love Whiting and it was on point! The service was top notch!

Was from out of state but have been there a few times. I was told they got a new cook. Well... they need to get another new cook. Catfish was overcooked, the inside, what was left of it, was mushy. Never had mushy catfish before. The Mac & cheese was dry and barely cheesy. The only good thing was the greens. Overall, it was horrible and a waste of my money. But, the service ( server) was excellent!
