Hadn't been to Harry's Place in a while but today's lunch was great! The food and everything else was wonderful but what stood out even more was the service. Also, the house-made tomato bisque soup is amazing, no extra charge as a side with any sandwich.

Great food great people
We were on the hunt for a great fish fry, which can be hard to find around here. After some research, I discovered Harry’s Place in Lansing. We started with some drinks at Harry’s Place—just screwdrivers and vodka cranberries—which were amazing. Then, we stayed for their Friday fish fry. Wow! It was the best fish fry I’ve ever had. The fish was flaky, the batter was thin and crispy, and the tartar sauce was spot on.
I had a chat with the owner and learned that Harry’s Place was established in 1921 and has been in the same family ever since. Despite its long history, the place feels new and clean, not old and dirty. You can really see the pride in ownership, and I respect that! We love it, and we will keep coming back. We also can't wait to try everything on the menu.

Parking: A "historic" little bar that has been serving pub style food since the 1940s. They have daily specials, and their Friday fish fry is good.
A Fisher Body plant (GM) used to set across the street. For years, they served those guys.
Wheelchair accessibility: The place is small but wheelchair manageable.

When you arrive in the parking lot to this place, if you have never been here, it looks a lil bit concerning, but let me assure you, the food is absolutely delicious. I had the cod fish fry with fries and green beans and everything was so fresh and good. One of the only places I’ve been to that doesn’t overcook the green beans. They were blanched and still crunchy yet warm and seasoned. The cod was light and flaky and delicious. The service was friendly and the overall vibe was chill. Highly recommend.

Hey, the owner was amazing right from the start. I'm giving a resounding 5 star all the way across. If you want a good place to grab good drink with a friendly smile serve it to you. This the spot. Tucked back in the Saxton neighborhood, I would recommend 100/100.
