We were celebrating our great niece's birthday at Mitchell's. We had menus that had "Happy Birthday" printed at the top. Not only did she get a free dessert but also received a copy of Mitchell's menu for that day that was signed by many of the wait staff and workers. The food and drinks were both very enjoyable and our server, Samori, was exceptional. One of our favorite places to dine in the Lansing area. We will be back.

Way too overpriced. $48 Chilean Sea Bass overcooked. Seasonal veggies soaked in something, to the point broccoli was discolored. Pooled liquid on the plate with my food. Simply OVERPRICED!!!

The restaurant was out of 5 different menu items that we tried to order. They refused to substitute for the special Sunday add on, that was also not available. When the manager was given the feedback that they were out of a lot of items he said he didn't want to make excuses but then went on to make and excuse. He never apologized or asked if he could help in any other way. He then just walked away to another table. The service was mediocre at best. This used to be one of the best places in the area and unfortunately is now not even respectable.

We went to celebrate a birthday. The food lacked flavor and was greasy. My brother-in-law worked in food service and said the food tasted like it was cooked and old cooking oil that needed to be changed. I also order a cocktail and it tasted it like it was just sweet-and-sour. The topper was when the bill came and we noticed they charged us $2.50 for cake cutting fee per person!. All they did was hold our cake not cut it and even if they had cut it that fee was outrageous. Luckily the manager agreed and removed the charge of $20.50 from our bill. I used to love this restaurant, but this will be our last visit.

The restaurant WAS very busy.... but it took an hour for the entrées to come. The steaks were overcooked by (and expensive). We didn't want to send them back as we didn't have another hour to spare. Our waitress was very nice and trying her best. Maybe on a quieter night it would've been better?

Love the ambience. Great place to dine with friends or for business. Great mixed drinks and the food was fresh and flavorful!

I am going to assume it was Holiday and therefore limited staff including chefs. The food was not good, only two of the three entrees were edible. The lobster tails tasted the way toe jam smells and was not eaten and it was the most expensive item we ordered.

I brought my family here for a nice dinner. We had a fabulous time. We were greeted by the host, who quickly sat us in the main dining room. Everything from service, food, and atmosphere exceeded our expectations. We will be back.
