I got the tuesday Pull Pork Sandwich special. A great deal for $9.95 with a quality bun, plenty of smoked pork, Fries, coleslaw on the side for me, and a small scoop of cornbread.

Since moving to Lansing we have been searching desperately for quality places to eat and we found it just over a half mile away at Saddleback REOtown.

I'm not sure what a corn scoop is supposed to be but I'll tell what it should be, 86'd. Can we just get some actual cornbread? The Mac n cheese while not terrible, lacked salt and confusingly used penne pasta. Pretty sure it's "Mac" n cheese because you're supposed to use "macaroni" noodles. Otherwise it's called penne pasta. Italian or BBQ?
The brisket was good, a lil dry. Pulled pork was game'y with an undertone of seafood. Out of everything I'd only eat the brisket again.
I last ate here 4 years ago with no complaints but I'll probably get Arby's next time.

Brisket was very good. Cole slaw was dry. Chicken was bland/no seasoning and cheap thigh meat. Then the chicken strips look like they were cut in half to stretch. Not worth the price at all. I would not come back here again. Just not worth it and very bland tasting besides the brisket.

Got the pork sandwich with pork rinds and corncake balls. Partner got chicken and sweet potato vernors mash.

The pork was well done, 5/5, no comments.
Corncake balls might as well been corncake batter. I didnt know what to expect but mush balls was depressing, 1/5.
Pork rinds were fresh and good 5/5.

Chicken was depressing. There was a lot of gristle and fatty pieces. Partner went through half of it just to toss. Lacked flavor too. 2/5.
Vernors sweet potatos were a total miss for us, but can see the appeal. Problem is, you got whole chunks in there, I cant even call it mash. 1/5

Heard this was a good BBQ, but I cant really recommend this to anyone.

Ordered a delivery for my 93 year old grandmother on9/1/24 and ribs were burnt and dry and no sauce was delivered. Very disappointed order costs $54 plus delivery fee.

Absolutely delicious, as usual!! For the recent holiday, we ordered the Sampleback Platter that serves 3-4 people, along with some extra sides. It was hot, fresh, and tasty. I am never disappointed when ordering here.
