Great service, even better food. Took 5 minutes for all of our food and it was super fresh, hands down one of the best mexican food places i’ve tried. If I could give this place a 10 star review I would.

The food is fun and tasty! I’ve had it at Lansing Shuffle for dinner (see takito pictures) as well as for a catered event for 50 (their 50 Squad package). There were no leftovers after the event….folks loved the food and its authenticity, and appreciated that it was from a local small business.

I normally don’t leave reviews but this place was delicious. Good quality and quantity for the price.

I would avoid this place much possible, asked for quesida dips for our 3 yr old, they used old
Oil to make it or chips has been sitting for several
Days, which tasted and smell like they re fried it just to make it hot. Quesida dip was watery and flavorless. Upon asking the guy who helped us, got a response with distress and rudeness saying what you want him to do. Do something change to something else, I even tipped these people. Ended up trashing all and wasting money.

On July 5th, 2024, I ordered Birria Ramen and Flamin Hot Elote. The team took my name and number and told me I would get a text when the food was ready. After about 25 minutes, I did not have a notification, so I walked up to the counter to see if the food was ready. I noticed only a box with the name "Kate" on the counter. Kate's order came in a Styrofoam box, but clearly wasn't the same size as the food I had ordered.

I asked about my food and the employees behind the counter told me they had no food for me. I asked them to look up my order and confirmed they had taken it. They looked at the order named Kate and realized that whoever Kate was must have taken my food. They told me they would remake it.

I went back to my seat and looked over at a table near me. There was a women who had the same food that I had ordered, sitting in the middle of the table, not being touched. I realized that this was likely Kate who took my food. After I sat down, I saw the same Taqueria AF employees run over to Kate and give her the correct order in addition to my food. I sat and waited for my food for another 25 minutes while watching Kate not eat the good I had ordered. She then got up and threw it away. I decided I needed to check on my food once again.

As I walked over, my food still wasn't ready. I ordered tea from the Thai restaurant next door and waited for the tea there for about 7 minutes. Finally Taqueria AF employee gave me my good without any apologies or an attempt to make the issue up to me. In face, "Kate" got more of a redemption from them by being given my order of food for free, where I couldn't even get an apology.

Whole the food tasted fine, I couldn't enjoy my food as I had waited nearly an hour. The Birria ramen is the priciest item on the menu, so it was incredibly disappointing that I had to wait an hour to get my food and never got an apology. I have had nothing but good experiences with the rest of the Lansing Shuffle restaurants, but after this incident, I will not be returning to Taqueria AF. The food was tasty, but the lack of concern and care form the team left a very bad taste in my mouth

Staff was patient while I asked questions on how to order. The takitos were crispy with really tasty and soft meat. I got carnitas, birria and shredded chicken takitos topped OG style with salsa verde. Didn't think I'd be full from an order of 3, but I was so done and actually satisfied after finishing my horchata. Still want to try the birria ramen, but it looks promising.

Late in sharing my review but I only have good things to say. This was the first time for me to try the food and I was not disappointed at all. My sister and I were starving but we still insisted on sharing the birria ramen since hearing of its large portion size from friends and family. I was also recommended by the staff to try the sopes so we had the birria, carnitas, and chorizo. Everything tasted wonderful and we ate everything alongside with their horchata beverage that helped cool our mouths from trying the highest spicy level they had. Definitely recommend for others to try and they are a great addition to the Lansing shuffle.
