Security doesn’t understand how to wand people without actually touching them with the wand , you should be holding the wands 1 to 2 inches away, not hitting people with a plastic wand. They should really learn to use the equipment properly or hire people who can do the job correctly without making people physically uncomfortable. TLDR: THEY PRESS THE DETECTOR WAND UP AGAINST MY SKIN EVERYTIME I GO AND THEY DONT NEED TO BE HITTING PEOPLE WITH IT! IVE SPOKE TO OTHER PEOPLE AND THEY SAID THE SAME THING, PLEASE DO SOMETHING THE RIGHT WAY FOR ONCE AND LEARN HOW TO USE A DETECTOR WAND WITHOUT HITTING PEOPLE WITH IT!!

I've been going to the Avenue since before it was the Avenue. The owner was always so supportive of the local music scene and I admired that. The staff is always cute and sweet. I have never been disappointed in service there. The atmosphere is warm and inviting for everyone. At the Avenue I don't have to worry about me or my friends getting picked on because of our gender/sexual orientation or where we are from because the staff is very protective of their patrons and do not tolerate violence or bullying. I'm super grateful to have his gem in our town. I especially love that they have live music, all-ages shows every Sunday, AND that they serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages for the nights where I can't or don't feel like drinking alcohol. Chilling outside is fun too!!

I hate having to leave a bad review of this place, because I loved it so much for the last couple years..and the poor opinion is entirely because of the staff. Anthony, at the door, will fabricate reasons of why he won’t let people into the bar. When he was confronted about the reasons he gave, he admitted to lying, but still will instruct the rest of the staff to deny entry to people.

Very frustrated with the service here. I’ve been denied more than once with no reason given. The bouncer, Anthony, has refused to let me in 3 times now without reason. I’ve gone to the avenue for years now without issue until he came into the picture. Very frustrated.

If I could rate the service and the atmosphere at zero at this point I would. The ave used to be a great place to go to but one of the security guards, Anthony is a horrible person and should not be in any type of a customer service job. He picks and chooses who he lets in ( totally against the law by the way) and throws allegations around like they are nothing. He is lucky that people do not sue for defamation! It is absolutely ridiculous! I hope Colleen has genuinely received and heard all the poor reviews and treatment this person has put people through. SMH this bar used to be so fun until he let his head get to big! So sad. Definitely a lost patron here.

Wonderful alt type bar 8n lamsing. Have a ton of pinball machines, my favorite part. Pools tables as well.
Amazing, unique dishes. Great staff. Nights are always live.
