We went there on a Friday night to watch the Spartan basketball game and it was busy but not real busy(lots of tables available). We were here for over 1.5 hrs. Here's a place that was totally understaffed for a Friday night, no hostess,no bartender, kicthen staff, and one waitress doing it all, hats off to them ! Rusty Mug needs to revisit or rethink their menu to bring a better dining expireance, maybe get in-put from kitchen staff to come up a decent menu, that all can enjoy! Maybe look at how you staff your bar. A big finger to the owner (s) for a sub-par dining experience for $50.00.

Our first visit yesterday and it did not disappoint. A bar atmosphere with a dining area that you can actually talk and hear your guests. The food is wonderful. We dove into the appetizers to start. Pop goes the weasel was our favorite with the pretzel, and Brussels sprouts right up there in the favorite category. Sweet potato tots were surprisingly delicious. Nachos, fish, and roast beef on cholow bread were very good. Can't wait to go through the rest of the menu! Drinks were well made, and the service was great. The only drawback for me were the metal chairs, but that's just me. This will be a frequent stop when traveling through Lansing.

I just moved back to the Lansing area after 20 years. I just happened to see this place and came in. I had a few drinks. The place is a bit quiet during the week. But it was a cool somewhat of a dive bar. But thise are the bars I like. I hate fancy uppity drink places so this was perfect for me. Kathy was cool. And i met a young couple and talked to him for a while. I will definitely be going back.
What can I say about this place? They had beer. You guys have a lot of potential to be a great bar. Definitely needs more activities. Darts, another pool table, ping pong table, perhaps. Lose the many tables and add more activities.
