Smoke and Pig can be very hit or miss on quality. We’re not sure if the quality is reflective of who in particular is working at the moment, but there have been a few times food has been served cold. *based on maybe 10 or so visits.
In particular, tonight, one brisket sandwich was lukewarm and a side of mac and cheese was cold. We told the front cashier about the mac and cheese and received it back after a couple of minutes. It was, at that point, just lukewarm. We didn’t feel like bringing it up a second time.
A woman cashier greeted us when at the counter, but put out of a vibe that she really didn’t want to be there working or too keen on the customer experience. We noticed her laying her head on part of the counter next to the register, messing with her phone, and eating near the register.
Between the food being cold and the lack of enthusiasm by the staff, it just wasn’t a very enjoyable time. More often than not the restaurant serves excellent food and tastes great, But when things like This happen it really takes away from the overall experience of the establishment.

The pulled pork tacos are AMAZING! 😍 The mac n cheese taste like valveeta shells n cheese. But i recommend the pulled pork tacos! The banana pudding is good too

Stopped in for the first time looking for some barbecue to go, and this place is a hidden gem. The food was outstanding, they have gluten free barbecue sauce so I was super excited! We got takeout and were blown away by the ribs. They were truly fall-off-the-bone—so tender that when we picked them up, the bones came out completely clean, and all the meat stayed on the plate. The portion was huge! My husband and I shared a full rack and still had enough left over for two more meals. Our son got the brisket sandwich and loaded fries, and he was just as impressed. He enjoyed every bite and had plenty left for lunch the next day. We’ll definitely be back!

They have gotten much better since they opened their restaurant. The ribs were my favorite. Brisket sadly tasted like roast beef. They need to stop serving their nasty sauce and sell (sweet baby rays, famous daves) instead. Please consider different sauce options and dismiss the gelatinous cups your dishing out (:

I go here a few times a year. I always get the ribs. The ribs are always awesome. I decided to add some wings on my last visit . I was really disappointed with these. They were way overcooked and dried out.

One of my favorite places to eat and drink!!! Fun atmosphere, friendly staff and lots of tv’s !! The pulled pork is amazing as well as the chicken salad. Love their Mac n Cheese as well!! Everything here is good. They also have Happy Hour Tuesday- Sunday 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm
I was disappointed in the service and food. I had the two-piece chicken with sides. The meat here is really good. The coleslaw was runny with too much mayo. The Mac and Cheese had a funny taste. The young lady at the bar was carrying on a conversation with a customer. The staff was very nice, but not attentive. The drinks at the bar were good. They sell their own t-shirts that are awesome. I rate it a 3 1/2.

Most pathetic wings I've ever seen. A couple of them literally had almost no meat on them. Bones were showing, and the tiny bit of meat that was on them was incredibly dry. I had not eaten off of these wings, that's literally how they came. I paid for smoked bones.
The brisket is pretty amazing. Quick service for carry out. And a good variety of sides.

We are very disappointed in the quality of the food we ordered smoked brisket tasted like pot roast, and the mac & cheese was very very similar to Velveeta shells and cheese. We paid over $30 for a meal that we could’ve made better at home..

I got the 1/2lb brisket platter today and it was everything I hoped it be, delicious. It came with Mac n cheese and baked beans. The baked beans are my new favorite and I really appreciate the extra effort put in to make them so good. I be knowing. I'm already looking forward to coming again with bargain BBQ prices. Top 3 places to eat in Lansing.
