It's not the best BBQ I've ever had, but it's pretty solid, and the people were cool as heck. It's in a bit of a strange place, but the atmosphere inside is great. I'll be back, 100%.

*Turkey Ribsz - Interesting in a good way. It's a nice alternative to chicken. Would order them again. *Pulled pork - Wasn't dry. Didn't have much of a smoky flavor. Not sure if I would order again. *Brisket - It was over cooked. Wasn't given an option for juicy/fatty or lean. Couldn't taste the bark because of the au jus poured on top. First time ever had it that way. The fat cap was THICK and lacked flavor. It was like a gelatinous chunk. I normally eat the fat off of brisket but this was too much. It's priced almost as Terry Blacks whole frozen brisket per pound. Wouldn't order it again. *Collard greens - Thought they tasted good. Not overly salted. Would order again. *Mac and cheese - Creamy but didn't taste anything special. If you like mac and cheese, you'll like it. Probably wouldn't order again.
Didn't feel the meats had much smokey flavor.
Maybe a suggestion, since this is mainly a pork place, how about pork belly. Look at Interstellar BBQ in Austin. They have a Michelin star - first BBQ place to ever receive one. They're known for their pork belly but their brisket is also excellent.
Possibly a Texas thing, but bread, pickle slices and onion slices weren't served with the order.
Still in search of a BBQ place since moving from Texas.

I got a full rack of ribs and it came in 2 styrofoam containers. The ribs were so large and meaty the order lasted me multiple days. Full of smoke and falls off the bone the right way.

I came from out of town and decided to grab something to-go before heading home. The staff is super friendly, and the food is AMAZING. I got the loaded Mac & banana pudding and both were out of this world. I want to go back to Lansing just so I can eat here again!

6 of us ordered at the counter and our meals were served to us. 2 of us got the 2-piece chicken (leg/thigh) and it was absolutely delicious. The rub they put on the chicken is just the right level of spicy. 2 of us got the pulled pork tacos - the portion was huge. 1 of us got the pulled pork Mac 'n cheese. 1 of us got the loaded fries with brisket added. Note: the sweet potato fries automatically come with marshmallow drizzled over them. You can request no marshmallow if you prefer. We recommend. Friendly service. Sports playing on the TVs.

This is a hometown favorite! I really wish the sides had more flavor even if they were smoked. The meat is the real star here and kinda gives the feel of all the attention is on the meat and the sides are just to say they have some. The setting itself is easy in the eyes and the customer service was great as the food comes right up within 5 min with a big smile! Thanks for a good experience a I had enough leftovers to take home the portion size is greater than the price so thanks!
