I came to Lansing for work and saw this cute little place and thought yay! I’ll support a small business instead of a Starbucks. The person at the counter was unpleasant. When I ordered an iced tea she seemed annoyed. When I paid she handed me the tea and walked away. Maybe because I’m not a regular? I don’t know.

This is one of the quaintest and relaxed coffee shops you will find! I ordered a lavender latte which was beautifully made. The perfect amount of sweetness and the best hint of lavender. The combination can be hard to find since many coffee places overdo one or the other. My coffee meeting was later in the morning and before lunch, so I wasn't able to sample the food, but I have no doubt it will be delish!
One thing for those who have never heard about Urban Cup; it is located next to the M43 gym, which is why for the longest time I thought Urban Cup was a promotion for a kettle bell competition (smh), lol! Then I Googled. So, that was my bad, but thought it would be helpful for anyone else who has driven by and not quite realized the gem that was there!

The Urban Cup is my favorite Local go-to shop! Leslie is an amazing barista and has introduced me to some fun flavors - check out their iced coffee! Beautiful shop, tiny, but a favorite with the locals in the area. There are regulars I see fairly often when I go in and their breakfast sandwiches and soups are also amazing.

My one single strawberry banana smoothie took 20 minutes to receive after payment. The smoothie was not good I did not try food but the smoothie was not enjoyable.

Stopped by for the first time today and had an overall lovely experience! I got the seafood chowder, the chicken salad sandwich, and a watermelon cucumber mint soda on recommendation. The service was very quick and very friendly, and the food was wonderful: the chowder was rich and creamy, the chicken salad sandwich had apples and herbs in it so it was a nice change of pace from other chicken salads, and the soda was insanely refreshing. Didn't try a coffee today, but I will definitely be back to do so!

Really wanted to like this local place, but the atmosphere was cold and uninviting, and the latte was a disappointment to say the least. Staff was fine but seemed to not know much beyond the basics of coffee.

Great staff. Some of the best I've ever encountered. Cool little off the grid place you may wanna check out. Great coffee. Food was awesome. And the whole place was really clean. Fairly priced. Worth stopping by.

I went here for the first time today and was blown away. To start, the staff was so friendly (shoutout Lesley and Chloe). Since it was my first time, they gave me suggestions based of my dietary restrictions (vegetarian) and my taste of coffee (sweeter). I got the Greek wrap without the chicken and added avocado based on Lesley's recommendation. It tasted great. Chloe suggested the Smores latte and it was exactly what I wanted. I sat in the Cafe for some time on my laptop (they offer wifi :)) and Chloe and Lesley were so friendly. They also had multiple regulars come in during this time and they remembered their orders; they clearly had built relationships with these customers.
