The Tropical Smoothie Cafe on West Saginaw in Lansing is the only one that I will drive across town to avoid. I went there again today for the first time in several years; I thought I would give them another chance to see if they have improved any. They have not. Everyone I have met there appears to have the IQ of a rock. Service is terrible. I have not had this problem with any of the other TSCs, and I have been to them all. I normally order from the Okemos location and they are wonderful. tonight I ordered from the Lansing location and was really disappointed. First they forgot one of my sides and the sides for both kids meals I ordered. Thankfully, I checked before driving 20 minutes home. Then when we got home, I had ordered two chicken quesadillas, and not only did both quesadillas lack chicken, they were burnt and too hard/ crunchy for my kids to eat.
I was at this location yesterday around 1pm
I need to say how impressed I was.
The staff was super busy making what looked like a million orders. I myself had a huge order (4 meals and 3 smoothies) and they killed it.
The manager was running around helping everyone wherever she could. And it was great to see so much team work!
