Delicious crepes and great service. I gave only 4 stars because I ordered to go and when I arrived at home, I noticed that one crepe was missing from my bag. It's always good to check your order before leaving so you're not disappointed

Went with a friend because she said thay had great prices and awesome fresh made food. Well, I guess we have differing opinions on things, but I will say this. I thought the food was very good. I wasn't sure if I thought the prices were great, but considering everything has gone up, they weren't terrible either. The unusual cookie we had at the end was really good. I realized just today, after seeing the store reply that I Hadn't finished my review, so my apologies for that. If you're in the area it is worth a stop at Chef G's.

I have never had a bad meal at Chef G's. This is the perfect spot downtown Lapeer to meet with a friend for coffee and breakfast. I recommend getting there a little earlier to make sure you get a table, but if you have to wait to sit down it's worth it. The hot chai is yummy, I think the Apple crepes are my new favorite. The recipes are creative, and I love that they offer vegetarian options as well.

Great food and great atmosphere, too… and super-nice people working there, which of course makes all the difference! We at the Rotary Club of Lapeer love meeting here every Tuesday.

The food was good!! ??(Had a Turkey/Cranberry Waffle Sandwich & a Choose-Your-Own Fresh Raspberry, Sweet Cream Crepe)The Berry Green smoothie was deplorable!! ?The decorative aesthetics were less than desirable too, given the 'gourmet' influence observed on the menu. Personally, I would love to have enjoyed a more upscale, boutique-style design flair, given the gourmet food/pricing. And attractive design does not have to cost a lot of money!! But I'm guessing they're doing the best they can with the limited design skills they possess. (Their real giftings are behind the griddle). ?Thusly, because it wasn't cute enough for my tastes, I'm not likely to drive an hour to visit a second time, or tell any of my girlfriends about it, but I definitely enjoyed the one meal (Saturday, 2/12). ?

Quirky little place with an imaginative menu. The cinnamon rolls make a nice appetizer, and there are some interesting treats for dessert, too. Entrees have yet to disappoint, either.

I frequent Chef G’s for the best lunch/ breakfast/ pastries. It wasn’t even a question of where I was going to have my baby shower and it truly was the most beautiful space and everyone loved the food made by Chef G herself. Her daughter Brittany, was a phenomenal host and did a fabulous job organizing for us. My family was even stopping over to the restaurant area to grab more for themselves! It was a hit and I highly recommend this beautiful, local business.

I never leave poor reviews considering I worked in customer service for 10+ years and am a business owner myself, but the two experiences I've had here left me speechless. My first experience was less than a year ago, I placed an order over the phone to have a cake made. I really wanted to support locally. I placed my order a month in advance, and asked to have something written on the cake for my grandsons birthday. I was told I must pay over the phone, which was no problem. When I picked up the cake, I was greeted by a sweet young lady at the register. She handed me my cake and I was on my way out. I opened the box to make sure everything looked right. There was no writing on the cake, so I went back in. The young lady approached the owner about the incident. The owner said to her with an attitude "you can do it because I'm busy". Mind you, I could see/hear everything because it is an open kitchen behind the register. The young lady then came back to me and looked so nervous, she told me "I'm sorry but my boss won't do it right now and I don't want to write on it myself because I've never done that before". I politely told her it was okay and not to worry, because it isn't her job to do it. I left and never returned until a couple days ago. I gave the owner the benefit of the doubt, and decided to give it another try. I loved the food, but the owner is rude and so are the other employees. It's sad to see such talent ruined by a poor attitude. I ordered a month in advance, and paid for a cake with writing. Simple right? To put the pressure on a teenage girl and to not care about your customers who PAY for your service, is not a good business owner.

My husband and I don't eat meat andrarely do we eat out. I never consider having a bite to eat while shopping with my daughter. She said, Chef G has a vegatarian menu. I was all in! Unfortunately it closes early on Saturday, however they were willing to fix us our meal to go. At a request they supplied plasticware to eat wherever we landed?Fresh, delicious and I'd go again!

My mom and I ordered the club panini only to find the outside warm and the inside cold. Disappointed because the menu made everything sound so yummy.

Honestly the best eggs I've had in a while.I should have took a picture of how good everything looks, but I was too excited to taste everything, I forgot. LolI will be back and will bring others to this beautiful, quiet, and delicious place I highly recommend.

There is not place like it. The menu is innovative with lots of healthy and tasty choices. You can also defy doctors orders and splurge on sweets. The food is wonderful and the staff is friendly, helpful and welcoming. Magical.
