Considering the skill involved, the price was very reasonable. The entire process, from placing the order to picking up the cake, was smooth and professional. Definitely a 10/10 experience!

Karen did an amazing job - the cake was everything I hoped for and more, and during the busy holiday season no less. It was beautiful and really yummy, I got the champagne cake flavor with strawberry preserves inside. You must get your celebratory cake at Artisan Buttercream!

Artisan Buttercream was highly recommended to me by my event decorator for my 60th birthday celebration on December 6, 2025, in Detroit, Michigan. Unfortunately, this bakery became the single negative aspect of an otherwise exceptional event.
The cake cost $850, and I also paid an additional delivery fee specifically to ensure the cake arrived on time. The party began at 8:00 PM, yet the cake did not arrive until after 9:00 PM—more than an hour late—while the event was already underway and in front of approximately 200 guests. In attendance were city council members, the chief of police, and other highly respected individuals, making the situation both embarrassing and unacceptable.
Although the cake was visually appealing, it was extremely hard and nearly impossible to cut. After only a few pieces were served, the knife broke due to the cake’s stiffness. It appeared the cake had been left in below-freezing temperatures prior to delivery, rendering it largely inedible. The majority of the cake had to be thrown away because guests refused to eat it.
I contacted the owner, Karen, the day after the event in an attempt to resolve the matter. She requested cake samples, which we attempted to deliver, but she did not answer her phone and failed to follow up or respond in any meaningful way. Despite being informed that I always provide detailed reviews to my vendors, no return call or resolution was offered.
Charging a premium price, collecting a delivery fee for on-time service, arriving over an hour late, and failing to address the issue afterward demonstrates a serious lack of professionalism. Based on this experience, I would strongly discourage anyone from using Artisan Buttercream for an important or high-profile event.

My boyfriend's cake was a work of art and tasted just as delicious as it was beautiful. I could tell it was made with love. Every step in the creation of my cake was very professional, I had no worries at all. This cake was a surprise for my boyfriend's birthday and it over exceeded my expectations. I will definitely be ordering again for my next celebration.

Gaaaaaa from start to finish this was easily the best decision I made all year and im so excited to have found Karen /Artisan Buttercream! This was my first order (60 floral cupcakes for a baby shower). The online order process was so easy, I sent inspo pics and Karen reached out to talk through the artistry which allowed me to just give her all my trust...she communicated at every step and even called when she noticed a little error on my part and literally saved me time and protected my order!! She truly went above and beyond...I pulled up for pick up and my order was absolutely perfect! Exactly perfect! And I ordered a few extra for me and I tasted the cupcake right away when I got back from the pick up lol. The cake...vanilla...perfect sponge, great flavor, and the vanilla flecks were visible (her signature recipe is so delicious)!!! The Buttercream...whoa! This was the differentiator...we had a mix of the signature Buttercream and a stiffer version for the intricate flowers and they were amazing delicious and must be whipped for a long time to be that smooth and flavorful and not that over sweetened Buttercream. There was a perfect balance that made each bite so cravable. Everyone was blown away by the taste a beauty of these gorgeous little cakes!! 10 out of 10 will be ordering more cakes before the end of the year! I cannot thank you enough Karen ♡

Artesian Buttercream did an amazing job! The cake was absolutely beautiful — rich colors, perfect design, and it tasted just as good as it looked. The “burning” effect was such a unique touch and turned into the highlight of the party — everyone was gathered around cheering and taking pictures! The birthday man loved it and couldn’t stop talking about how cool it was. It was the perfect mix of fun, creativity, and great flavor. Highly recommend Artesian Buttercream for any special occasion!
