I stopped last week when I was in the area. The food was top-notch. The atmosphere was great. The servers were funny and good at their job. Best place in the Lawrence/PawPaw area.

Hungry on a road trip, we stopped at Freedom on a whim and glad we did. We both had patty melts and beer battered fries. Being a very small town (1 stop light, 1 gas station) if everyone there doesn’t frequent this place, I’d be shocked. Everything about it was good. The servers, atmospheres, other patrons. If I ever find myself in the area again, it’ll be a go to for sure!
Service was bad, food was cold and the restaurant smelled like a swamp. The drinks were over priced! Other than that…. This is your last warning. Don’t waste your $.

Great place to eat! Amazing authentic tacos...always try at least one shrimp taco with my steak tacos! Highly recommend.

Being a local, and familiar with Lawrence, was not expecting much. However, the food and vibes were both excellent! Had the burger on rye and was very pleasantly surprised. Prices were fair also.Definitely worth checking out if in the area or passing thru. Bonus, the original wood floor was super cool
