I stopped last week when I was in the area. The food was top-notch. The atmosphere was great. The servers were funny and good at their job. Best place in the Lawrence/PawPaw area.

Hungry on a road trip, we stopped at Freedom on a whim and glad we did. We both had patty melts and beer battered fries. Being a very small town (1 stop light, 1 gas station) if everyone there doesn’t frequent this place, I’d be shocked. Everything about it was good. The servers, atmospheres, other patrons. If I ever find myself in the area again, it’ll be a go to for sure!

Being a local, and familiar with Lawrence, was not expecting much. However, the food and vibes were both excellent! Had the burger on rye and was very pleasantly surprised. Prices were fair also.Definitely worth checking out if in the area or passing thru. Bonus, the original wood floor was super cool

I have only been twice. Nothing times the food was over cooked. The owner got mad at me. They gave me a little napkin for my meal. (The size you get from ice cream places). I needed another, but no service. There was a roll of paper towels on the cart. I took them to our table. He came out and told me off. I asked him about the small napkin. He sat down, uninvited and proceeded to tell me how he's caught old ladies stealing dinner napkins in their purses.This is a nice bar, with an inexperienced owner.
What's nice about this bar it's connected to a Mexican restaurant so you can get extra food other than just bar food...

I’ve seen enough of the reviews to know what kind of tool owns this place so I will just leave you with this:These days, if it has "Liberty" "Freedom" or "Patriot" in its name, rest assured it has little if anything to do with any.

I went there on a night they had a live band, so I wasn’t expecting the fastest service. I waited an hour and got no menu, or anyone checking on me (after seating myself on the restaurant side). After that hour passed some other people sat down and got their menus with in 30 seconds and I still did not get any menus or anyone checking if I needed anything, I left shortly after that. (I would have waved down a staff member if I’d had seen one that wasn’t actively tending the busy bar)
