The Deck on Lobdell Lake

I just can't figure this place out. Some days the service is great. Some days, like today, it was horrible. They were short staffed, but we were not even greeted. People came in after us and they had drink orders taken while we weren't even acknowledged. We left after sitting for 15 minutes with no service. Bartender apologized as we left, but her actions spoke louder than words. Last week, the service was outstanding. I really want to support this place as it is local. Ugh!!!

Love the French oinion soup. And I think the BEST DAMN SALSA EVER

Only reason I'm giving it a 1 star is because our waitress was new and did the best job she could. Other than that it was a horrible experience for the 2nd time. We went there on Tuesday. It wasn't even that busy took almost 10 minutes to get greeted for drinks.people that came in after us were greeted eight away all because they were someone's regulars or they knew the waitress they asked for. Food was just alright. We will not be back that's a given. First time we went it was even worse but felt we should give them a 2nd chance.

Food was good, brussel sprouts were very good had the Zurich burger.

We've been to The Deck twice in the last 2 weeks! Food is GREAT! I've had the chicken nachos both times and I love them! My hubby loves the sliders. We will be back!

Friendly service. Nice roomy place with a view. Menu is burgers, pizza, salads and some other things. We had burgers, they were huge and juicy. Pleasantly surprised. Will come back.

Walked in about a half hour before close for a quick bite to eat and a beer.. greeted with smiling faces and a welcome. Sat at the bar to eat(I've waitressed, so I knew they were waiting to go home) we were offered food, drink, and list of specials. It was "Taco Tuesday", so of course we had to try them. But not before we had what I would say is possibly the best spinach artichoke dip that I've ever had.. no complaints at all.. will be back again for sure.

The Deck is our 1st choice go to place for a great meal and to just kick back & relax. We are always greeted and sat down so nicely. Love the entire staff, their friendliness, and speed of service. Great Food!

Had the rudest server ever. We sat outside and Mark said by eating outside service would be slow. We joked about it he said you know what happens when you piss off your server. Mark said he's worked at many restaurants and white table cloth places. Ok. Didn't know his craft beer and didn't know his bourbons. Said he didn't drink. We tried to joke but he walked away in a huff and never came back. We added up our bill and put the right amount to cover our tab plus tip. Won't be back. Sure wish Marcia had been our server.

Out of every employee on a late night weekend not one nor the hostess said hello, the lady helping us had a horrible attitude. No excuse. Even if you had a long day, fake it. Food was good but staff absolutely in acceptable. Didn't even get a good bye or have a good night. We were super kind to the waitress as well. Still no change.

Wouldn't even give them one star if I didn't HAVE to but I unfortunately do in order to write a review. First and foremost Phil likes to talk about how he doesn't have “good help” yet he lays his good employees off with no intention on calling them back knowing they did more than what they were asked of. Also would like to mention the fact that the place couldn't pass an inspection if someone walked in there tomorrow without letting them know before hand. NOTHING is sanitary to eat, they have bug AND rat infestations. Save your money and eat in Fenton. This place is TRASH and the food is average and they'd be able to keep employees if they knew how to treat them.

Best food I've had all year!... Very clean establishment, extremely friendly staff... And despite being understaffed today these ladies never missed a beat, they are absolutely running their tails off to accommodate their customers. If you drive/boat by and don't stop in to give em a try your crazy!

Nice restaurant! We had fish & chips on the deck, good food & a nice view of the lake.

Great food, great service and a really nice atmosphere. You can't ask for anything more. It's our family's favorite place.
