He was kind courteous and the cashier/waitress as all however great right down to her service made sure we were comfortable to the letter .I had a beef shawarma with almond rice everything was fresh and hot tasted wonderful . A quick check on my reviews and it becomes obvious that I love Mediterranean food. So when I saw this restaurant pop up on Yelp, I had to visit. Earlier in the day, the restaurant wasn't busy. But that's okay, I liked the quiet. I always check out the menu even though I am 99% sure I would get my usual: baba ghanouj to start and shish tawook, as my main. The latter came with rice or fries and soup or salad. I liked the grilled eggplant with tahini and garlic. The hot and puffy basket of pita that accompanied the meal served as a nice vehicle for the baba. The cubes of chicken breast were so tender. And I enjoyed the huge mound of seasoned rice and the large salad. I was a bit disappointed by the garlic sauce; it was less creamy than expected. The mango smoothie with strawberries was delicious. Service was friendly. Will this place replace my favorite Mediterranean restaurant? No. But it is quite good and I intend to return.

Excellent falafel sandwich. The pita was perfectly toasted. Flavorful falafel, good amount of tahini so it wasn't dry at all and the toppings weren't too big. Food came fast too.

Tried for the first time today. Worker was very helpful and friendly. Can’t say enough about the food. Served hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Will definitely be going back!

I gave 3 stars because of the service. I am not sure about the food because I did not get a chance to try it. Before my work break started, I called in and made an order. When I went to pick it up, they said their power was out so they couldn't make one of my sides and replaced it with something else. Understandable. I asked if they can make the side now since I can eat while I wait for that, but they said no because the chefs are busy. Busy with other customers but my order is not important I suppose. So, I had to call another restaurant, drive again, and wait for my order all over again. By this point, my break is almost over and I barely have time to eat my food.It would have been nice to call me once the power was back to let me know they couldn't make my side. If you are too busy to make my side then fine, but to also have me drive there? I wouldn't have wasted my time picking up an order I don't want. I could have used that time to make an order elsewhere and have time to finish my meal.Thanks to this incident I was hungry for the rest of my workday.

Tied With King Of Basturma For Worst Chicken Shawarma Sandwich I've Ever Tasted. Chicken Had No Sign Of Shawarma Seasoning Or Flavor, & Tasted Old. As If Not Enough, The Meat Shawarma Was Even More Mysterious. Maybe Old Pot Roast At Best, But Definitely Not Shawarma. I Can't Even Describe The Feelings I Had After Trying To Ingest That. I Don't Want To Talk About It Anymore. Never Going Back. Not Shawarmas At All.
A great spot! My entire meal was incredibly fresh and delicious. The chicken shawarma was tender and very flavorful and the rice was fluffy and soft. The tabbouli salad was the perfect side to my meal. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting, and the service was friendly. The best Mediterranean meal I've had thus far in Michigan. Will definitely be back to try more items!

Consistently impressed with the quality of Middle Eastern restaurants around metro Detroit. Alforno is no different. They’ve been operating since late last year. The lunch special is excellent & generously portioned. Hummus, baba ghanouj, and tabouleh were wonderful too. Fresh pita was fantastic. The service was very friendly.

I ordered this the other day on 08/08/23 - Nice place with fresh food. A little hard to find, it’s in a strip mall on the very end. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate at lunch carry out. Moist chicken , fresh rice, and good hummus. Also a surprisingly good salad, nice flavor. I’ll order this again.
