I like that some dishes, cabbage rolls for example, you can order one or two. Prices have become pretty steep for a diner style restaurant. Not unusual to pay close to $20 for an entree. Atmosphere is rated average due to noise level and need to wait for seating. That said the renovation is really pleasant and the people couldn’t be kinder. Recommend!”

One of the best cakes I've ever eaten. I sent them an image of what I wanted and they delivered. Super affordable too, only $300 for a cake that serves about 60 people and that included the delivery. I would definitely order from them again.”

“I stumbled on this gem of a restaurant yesterday for lunch. As soon as i walked in, i could smell such amazing food being cooked. The food did not disappoint. I savored ever morsel. Honestly, the food left me wanting more. I ordered the chicken tawook and yellow rice with raisins….. so tasty. It was served with creamy garlic sause, grilled yellow pepper and grilled jalapeño pepper with pita bread. Chicken ws cooked to perfection. Ill be back and highly recommend trying this place.”

“I can not say enough positive things about this bakery! If I could give them 1000 stars I would! Yesterday they came to the rescue very last minute after another local bakery made the most disastrous cake I have ever seen for my nieces sweet 16 birthday. I called Sweet 220 told them what happened and they asked what we wanted and to be there in one hour! The cake was exactly what we wanted. With no pictures of the requested cake they NAILED IT!! The cake was absolutely perfect and super delicious! I can't thank them and recommend them enough!!”

“We have used Livonia Italian bakery three times now for work functions. Each time the staff has been friendly, accommodating, and had everything ready on time for me to pick up. My colleagues commented on the quality and taste of the food items. Most recently we had the sandwich platter and the Italian sub is a favorite! We will definitely use your services in the future.”

I give people the benefit of the doubt because we all have those days when we aren't at our best. When I read bad reviews about restaurants that I frequent often, I wonder about the person leaving the review. I feel that they are either competitors with malicious intent, someone who didn't try to listen to resolve whatever issues they perceived to be happening, or simply someone who's looking for a reason and is too hard to please in the first place. So with all that out of the way, let me get to the Lim's Star review. I love Chinese food and it's one of the first things I looked for locally when I bought my house 10 years ago. There are several in what I would consider my drivable area. Lim's Star is in my top 5 or higher depending on what dish I'm looking for. 10 years means I've been coming there since before the current owner. Do I miss the dinner rolls? Not really, since I get better quality food and personalization of meals on request. The new owner knows us on sight and remembers what we like to order. He even allows us to modify the ingredients to our liking. He is very friendly and will engage in small talk to get to know his customers better. We eat at or buy takeout from Lim's Star at least once a month, sometimes more. Has everything always been perfect? No, but I really can't recall the last time I was dissatisfied with my order or service. Based on my long review, I'm hoping you can tell I have had many enjoyable meals from and experiences with Lim's Star. Seriously! If you are on the fence or willing to try something new in your area, start with a dish you know to compare. I doubt you will be disappointed in your comparison. Mark J.”

“Ordered a OG, a large round pepperoni pizza with butter crust. There was a lot of pepperonis, so if you aren’t a huge pepperoni person, maybe ask for less pepperoni. I probably would order it again, but with butter cheese crust the next time.

The garlic mozzarella bread sticks were pretty good, although a little dry. Wish they were a little more cheesy. Most definitely would put Primos as a top 10.”

“Great food with amazing service!

Entered location and it was very busy with online/delivery orders. There was approximately 10 people waiting for those orders. The employee that was handling the orders was fast and efficient.

I ordered for dine in and chose the Number 1 with a Coke Zero Sugar. The employee who took my order was personable and friendly. She started to ask me what I would like to drink, but caught herself mid sentence, and asked me if I needed any sauces. I started to say Come Zero, but wasn't as successful as she was pivoting to sauce choice. We had a great laugh together.

The condiments bar was clean and organized. It was a little low on stock, but I came after dinner rush. The lobby had quite a few dirty tables and trash that needed attention. Nothing too overwhelming, since I knew they were closing within an hour and 15 minutes.

My order came to my table within 3 minutes. The employee was friendly while serving my order. The food was hot, fresh, and tasty.

My only complaint is that I wish they were open a little later. I have driven past the restaurant a multitude of times, just either too close to closing or afterwards. Most locations in Arizona are open until 10:00pm or a few until midnight on the weekends. This will not prevent me from coming back, as I am a Michigander now! :)

I would highly recommend this location to anyone who loves great food and service!

Parking: This location has lots of parking if you include the vacant shopping center parking. When restaurant is busy, could be a little tough maneuvering the lot”
