“I love this place!!!!! if you want some pretty legit casual japanese AND Korean food.... this place is fantastic! the staff/ownership are super nice, the food is real, what more could you ask for? had the takoyaki today and holy moly was that awesome. tempura avacado with honey is delicious. bibimbap in the hot stone bowl is top notch. katsu curry rules. obviously their sushi is well made sushi. but there's so much more to this place than sushi. the wife enjoys the chicken fried rice. I always go in craving sushi and end up getting more. I've been going here since it opened.“

There's a Korean store next door and kpop shop within the building as well as bubble tea shop.Kid-friendliness: There is seating for children as well. “It was my first time there. I got the marinaded short rib and the thin sliced brisket. It was delicious! I was a bit nervous having to cook it myself but it was super easy short ribs where done like 3 minutes on each side with a cracking hot pan with butter. Brisket cooked even quicker. I didn’t care for the sides to much. Just not my cup of tea. I felt the portions could be bigger for the price. I easily ate the short ribs by myself for lunch. Then the brisket for dinner. It was about 72 dollars and I picked it up. The meal was ready when promised as soon as I walked in the door.The hostess Nicole was awesome! She packed up everything really nice for the ride home. She also took the time to explain what everything was and how to cook it. Thanks! I’ll be back again sometime.“

“First time here, it was surprisingly good. I had no idea what kind of cuisine they served. Got the kimchi box with slice beef. Mildy seasoned with noodles and rice, it was delicious. The atmosphere was nice except I found the chairs uncomfortable, but that’s me. Service was helpful and prompt.“
“Great service, funny and friendly. So many menu choices it was difficult where to start because it all sounds good. It was our first visit to this restaurant and again, another discovery in our own backyard. So glad we came here! We shared the Kimchi pancake- YUM! I had the Bibimbap on the stone bowl and then my friends had the bulgobi bbq and short rib bbq. The restaurant isn't set up to do your own bbq at the table but it was still DELICIOUS! We saw some people do hotpot at the table so we'll try that next time. I appreciate so much that we can have so many really great food in Canton with so many options. This mom and pop place is a hit! “Took my daughter there with pretty much the entire family for her birthday dinner it was about 25 of us and they were SUPER accommodating! It was our first time trying it we weren’t disappointed at all. We had a great time and they were so patient with us and helpful. BRANDON our server was amazing and so friendly. I loved everything about the experience. We did the Korean bbq and the hot pot combo and both were great it was a little tricky for us on the grill just because we tried to cook in our pot and on the grill and burned it lol but once we got it that was one of my favorite parts. The only thing I would say about this is that it is expensive other than that, everything else is worth the experience. “Food was great! Very authentic Korean and good sushi too!We got the hot stone bowl bibimbap, jajang, and steamed dumplings. We also had rainbow rolls and tuna rolls. Everything was very tasty! Portion sizes and prices were as expected and competitive with other Korean restaurants we’ve eaten at in Michigan.Service was great and we were checked on several times throughout our meal.We also enjoyed the opportunity the purchase Korean snacks as we were checking out.We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Novi!“
“Great food, the perfect ambiance for a date night or a girls night. The 2 person meat platter with kimchi here was really tasty and is such a large amount of food. This was my first time at Dae Jang Keum and I would say it was a great dinner. The owner helped us with cooking our platter and was our server was stellar she provided excellent service. I will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant, we really loved it. Dae Jang Keum is a must try!!!“
“Amazing itamae who has been adding new items to the menu here! Best hidden gem in the area. Take out only here but that works well for us. Sushi is always fresh and delicious! Baked Crab Roll which is new is amazing. Dragon Roll, Shrimp Tempura roll and Salmon Roll are just some of our favorites. The have good Edamame now as a side as well. ❤️???❤️“
